They wont, Garrett still thinks hes the best TE in the NFL. he always mentions that whenever they ask him about witten
Witten's decline is way low on the list of worries right now. I do agree they could try to get Escobar a little more involved though.
I don't think he should be silenced, but rather have his post count cut by 40% for now.
So I think it's time to "Bring down the curtain" on this thread.
Why do I have this image of someone struggling, falling over furniture, punching himself in the face, huffing and puffing to reach a computer to post an opinion they really dislike? It's like a Jim Carrey routine. It's about time to hang up the curtain on our boy Jason Witten. Hate to say
I have been saying the same , JW has been great but his YAC has disappeared for 2-3 years , it's a shame a TE can't even break a tackle long enough to get a single yard for a 1st down . His blocking is still good but sometime they overestimate , like him blocking JPP alone , also I remember in that botched playoff game Ray Allen made a mincemeat of him on way to Romo .
if they really believe Escobar ( if not wonder why a 2nd round pick was invested) they need to let him have more snaps so that we can see if he has it and his speed and reach will be a definite help , in the thanksgiving game the speed differential between the teams was so apparent.
At the same time I'm for giving more snaps for Street than Williams , as street was supposed to be a better route runner
10.7 yards per catch.just about his career avg

Sooner or later they will get rid of, bench or reduce his role and a handful of posters will crow how they called for it and yell I told you so and the rest will say... Cool story bro, here's a cookie.
I don't wear shades! You post this after a loss to think you have some kind of point and you don't. Witten is critical to our offense because of his ability to block and catch. Find me a TE that does both as good as Witten.
It's a fan forum, discussion is what we do, not sure why you are here if you can't handle that
Feh!!!
Let's see- the Cowboys are running the ball on 49 percent of their snaps offensively this season; and that means Witten is blocking more than at any time in his career.
Look for Witten on most of DeMarco Murray's big runs this year, and you might see his value goes beyond the stat sheet.
