I would agree. If Brooks can make it through preseason with out getting hurt, I think he makes the team based on what I have seen and heard so far.
I hate to say this as I like the kid and want him to make the team. But I wont be suprised if vaughn doesnt make the team. Im guessing they are gonna try to get him on the practice squad. If Deuce Vaughn keeps improving in punt and kickoff returns, Turpin may become expendable due to roster spot availability.
I think he's a safe bet to make the team. Turpin too.I hate to say this as I like the kid and want him to make the team. But I wont be suprised if vaughn doesnt make the team. Im guessing they are gonna try to get him on the practice squad.
I think Deuce most likely has a spot. It's a battle between Davis & Dowdle. Dowdle shouldn't be relied on though. He's had lower body injuries going back to college.I think he's a safe bet to make the team. Turpin too.
Deuce isnt competing for Turpin's spot. He's a pro bowl returner, with electric skills that can't be easily matched. Deuce is competing against Davis for 3rd RB, special teams contributor (in any way), a guy who can be counted on to step in when needed, make a block, catch a pass, get a few yds, keep offense moving etc.
Oh good grief. But I wont be suprised if vaughn doesnt make the team.
They'll pick a RB up from the waiver wire.Meanwhile the RB position is pretty thin..
The raw stats you look up on google don’t account for certain return qualifiers. This NFL.com article has a more comprehensive advanced way of breaking these down:

Regardless, what I posted before this shows clearly that the coaches and players around the league know he’s a good player. He’s on a cheap deal and just got those accolades after literally zero offseason. You are wrong if you think he’s going to get cut, just flat out doesn’t make sense with all the evidence.
Your evaluation of Turpin holds no weight when the league and the team have made it clear they feel his talent is tops in what you look for in a returner. All you have is google stats, I’m showing you how his peers and coaches voted for him and how he’s viewed around the league.
He’s on a cheap deal and is performing well in his first training camp. There is absolutely zero indication he’s to be cut. There’s no rule against having two short shifty guys on a team. Just cause Deuce got selected it doesn’t mean it’s an omen on Turpin’s future, not one team source has even indicated so. It’s completely a fan narrative.
Brooks will fill that last spot, especially if he is good with special teams
Brooks is receiving the TC hype award for 2023, let us see it in preseason games next please. If nothing else, Brooks should be able to sustain a roster spot as a possession type of WR. He's no speedster but is able to be productive.
I remember all that talk about Houston and who was that other guy Brandon Miller or Brandon something oh preseason they were dude and make the team and they were gonna contribute what happened to them they sound like this crap of preseason I think people are overrating guys in these little half speed no tackling practices/..
those writing off Turpin and Vaughn are delusional and hightests LOL but this overevaluations of the others umm please be real... TOO SOON
That are counting out height challenged players and no Vaughn will not make it to the practice squad again Mr. hater-faithNot sure what hightests are, but am I still dilutional if I think Turpin will be improved but also think Vaughn hits the ptactice squad?
right last year it was Houston and that Brandon kid?? ..neither helped the team in the RS when we were very thin at WR. Like that Pass rusher Kamara during HKs..lol got cut those pet cats rarely make it.Brooks is receiving the TC hype award for 2023, let us see it in preseason games next please.
Go get em Brooks, or Turp sends you to the squad.
is it?Meanwhile the RB position is pretty thin..
