Actually, I could care less about a measly playoff win. Would I have been happy if Dallas beat NY and then blew it against GB? I am not speaking for no one but myself, but I can say a playoff win to me means very little.

The only thing that counts to me is A) Super Bowl wins and then B) how strong of a contending team is Dallas.

I think we have the Commanders on both A and B. I would not trade any of Jerry's 3 Super Bowls for Snyder's big bag of nothing nor would I trade the immediate future of say the next five years for that of the Commanders's next five years.

I am not implying that you are comparing Snyder to Jerry since inception. No matter the scenario until Washington has a clearly more dominant team or multiple Super Bowls he will remain an inferior owner to Jerry. He has some catching up to do.

I'll take 13-5 head to head as far more impressive than 2-3 any day. Bottom line you said he's won more. No he hasn't. No even if you add the post season games.

70-78

vs.

70-79

By next season it will look pale in comparison.

No - I said the Skins have been as good or better than we have -- about the same % of wins -- but two of them in the playoffs. Advancing in the playoffs is huge in my book. And as you know, we've been crap in that area for a long time now.

I sincerely hope we can pull away next year since having to show everyone here that we've been on par with the Commanders since 1999 is really very sad.

That has nothing to do with my point -- the issue was performance since Snyder came into the league. And the facts remain, us and the Skins are pretty equal since that time.

Again, I don't agree with that at all. We've won more games and have dominated the head to head series. We did this despite Dave Campo for 3 years in the middle of Snyder's ownership.

Yes, I'm from ES. Folks act like saying that Snyder isn't the world's biggest idiot is akin to saying he's great.

Son, you ate too much scrapple this morning. All that pig snout is clogging your brain.

We've won 2 more regular season games. They won two more playoff games.

So we dominated the head to head by what, like 2-1?

You know who else we dominated head to head this year by that margin? Is that really the indicator you want to use?

Okay. Carry on John Nash.

72% winning percentage vs. 67%.

You know the point I was making.

-- I preferred the Nash....

Are you happy with our season since we "dominated" the head to head against the Giants? You point to head to head as an indicator that Dallas has been much better than the Skins. I point to them having won some Playoff games.

Me, I'd have been much happier losing both the head to head regular season match ups with the Giants provided that we won the playoff game against them.

My happiness has nothing whatsoever to do with what I responded to does it? You said he has won more. No, he hasn't.

Don't dumb it down for us, Hos. They can look it up if they don't get it.

Please -- that's just semantic - you know Jerry was considering the same deal -- he hired JG to be AT LEAST the OC with the potential for hiring him as the coordinator. If you look at the press conference. OMIGOD, he didn't give him an official title along the way. Whoopdeefreakingdee.

We're talking what happened. Not "coulda shoulda woulda." That's my point and what I said. And Jerry has NEVER hired an assistant, given him a title and THEN asked the assistant to interview for head coach.

Where is the problem with their spending? Have they made bad signings, sure. But the cap hell that folks keep predicting for them has not materialized -- and out of that they've picked up good players like Randy Thomas, Marcus Washington, and Andre Carter - yeah, they spend a ton of money -- but that's what a team with a ton of revenue should be doing.

The major problem? It's called "value." Just because you can pay 2 million for a $30,000 car doesn't mean you do it. I swear you honestly sound like your name should be Vinny or Snyder. Btw, Carter is the only one who finally after 3 seasons and millions in signing bonus had a good half year. Thomas and Washington were hurt mostly. The number of FA busts is too long to list here.

So instead of looking at Snyder's entire tenure, you just carve out the years that favor Dallas the most?

There is a reason I did this and said so in my intial post - you know, about how Jerry had run the team into cap hell?

A .7 year difference in coaching tenure. Wow. That's amazing. What an argument.

Yes, I'd say having a new coach on avg every year as opposed to on avg almost ever 2 1/2 years makes a difference.

Again, look at the increase in the team's value

Are you following here? I gave Snyder credit in this area. Of course, you have to keep harping on it because the rest of what you say is so weak.

As someone pointed out, this thread is about the Zorn hire. I address this at the beginning of each response and you have yet to factually address this point - that is, NO OWNER or GM has hired and named an assistant and asked that assistant a month later to please interview for the HC position. Madness.

As I stated earlier, you're defending what 30 year fans here are disgusted with, i.e., the whimsical way Snyder has run this franchise. And I will gladly allow you to believe that those fans, Commanders former players, the local DC media are all off their rocker when stating this on the news at bars here in DC, on the radio, to my face and on local Commanders talk shows.

Oh, as to your redundant point of the skins and cowboys being on par...uh, ok. Sure. Ask anyone, they'll agree. Not even skins fans in this thread are backing you.

Sad.

No, I said the Skins have been as good or better. I posted records early in the thread, I know the #s. In defining as good as you focus on the head to head - I define it as being able to eliminate SOMEONE in January.
