I don't care about the knee. I certainly am not one of the fan boys who still harken back to his rookie season to think that player is even available. He's not. A shadow of that, plus some other baggage is what the reality is.

I care about the fact he just can't play in a structured offense and has proved it since the injury.

I don't want him here either, and the reason is not the knee. He's not a very good QB. I can see Jerry, not just bringing, but overspending for Manziel. He would keep Jerry "relevant" for a long time. The media circus and the never ending micro phones for Jerry to talk into, would make Jerry harder than a box of Viagra.

I have my facts straight, Griiffin wasn't Gruden's guy, Cousins was.. plain and simple!

from your article posted link
"Coach (Jay) Gruden did say that Kirk Cousins is our starter for this year and that's what we're gonna do."

RG3 wasn't his guy because he could not play in his scheme (or any pro scheme if you ask me)

I do like his talent, however at this point there's no reason to believe he is coachable. He told Mike Shanahan, a two time SB winning coach, who won a SB with Steve Young as well, what kind of plays he would and would not run. And while Shannahan never reffered to Griffen as a slacker, he did indicate that he wasn't putting in the work needed to over come his inability to play in a pro scheme.

That worries me

BTW, I hate that eventually Jerry Jones will probably create an artificial Hutch v. Quincy situation.

As if the last time wasn't bad enough.

Meanwhile, Johnny doesn't know what the plays are and just wants to sleep it off.

Good times for us.

Considering that RG3 was very unpopular in the locker room due to his entitled attitude, I had much rather have Johnny. At least Johnny is showing signs of improving every year and there is a chance that he matures into a solid QB. Injuries and attitude has finished RG3. Why waste the roster spot on him?

Here's my issue, nothing at all to do with a knee. Take a look:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...nt-assess-the-rest-of-the-Commanders-offense/

I remember that game, and after the game there was a claim that the OL refused to block for RGIII. That's why I don't want RGIII

The tale of two losers. I could NEVER consider these two as playoff potential QB's after last year. If I had to take 1, it would be RG3 because he has more class than the little drinker from College Station. RG3 has as much confidence as a Politian in a 3rd world country and Johnny foosball would be spending his weekly check on Johnny Walker and the local Harry Hines entertainment. A recipe for disaster either way. Of course JJ once graced us or greased us with the presence of one Ryan Crying Leaf so you never know?

I'm not talking about giving the guy a five year deal, he would be a cheap free look with little guaranteed money, just like it was with McFadden.....If you can get a guy in who's going to be on the street who has a lot of talent and coach him, I think he was rushed too quickly, too early in Washington, and in a run first offense with some good protection behind a good offensive line like Dallas, you might develop either a good backup quarterback or he could show something that you might be able to flip for a draft pick.......Tim Tebow and Johnny idiot face he's not!!

In a vacuum, it's not a bad idea, but he needs a lot of work on mechanics, footwork and reading a defense, and would take away reps from a rookie, so I am against it.

Yeah, yeah, I know many of us want neither, and hope we solve our quarterback problem through the draft.
But assuming both are available and the Cowboys aren't going to draft a quarterback in 2016, who would you want the Cowboys to sign:

Manziel or RGIII.

Me? I'm going RGIII. Why?

1. He's more talented than Manziel.
2. He doesn't have a problem with alcohol.
3. He has lead a NFL team to the playoffs.
4. He hasn't made a bunch of noise from the sidelines and appears to be more humble about his situation.
5. He'll make the most of his second change compared to Manziel who I think will be the same wherever he goes.

You're up ... ;)

Stop it!!!....trust me....go for Ryan Mallett.

He is a spread offense QB. He should do well in Red's system.

FWIW, I live outside D.C. and the local news sports anchor said RGIII wants to go to Dallas.
