KC Joyner on Brandon Lloyd

Ouch...:lmao:

Hitting them with facts might not be the way to go though, you have to remember you're dealing with 'skins fans. You might be better off just calling them a doo-doo head or something and move on.

You must have missed the post two above yours in which I posted the FACT that Patten was injured. The coach that can good production out of a WR with a blown knee is not just good, he's magical. ;)

Mediocre is generous summer.

These guys long for the day when they can put themselves in a class with Ricky proehl, kevin Curtis, Chris Henry and eric Moulds.

really? what records did they break?

The single-season Skins rushing record (previously held by Stephen Davis) and the single-season receiving record (previously held by Bobby Mitchell). Portis also set a franchise record with 9 100-yard games.

watch out for Pat Crayton, he has unbelievable potential and will be one of the best #2 WRs in the game

let's beat them at their own game :)

btw, Kevin Curtis is a hell of alot better than Lloyd

Most receivers in the league look up to Eric Moulds...what's your point there? He's one of the league's elite, and has been his entire career.

Great example.

Brandon Lloyd has never caught more than 48% of the passes thrown to him - regardless of QB.

And El, once promoted, put up a single TD, and caught only 50% of his passes.

You do know that stat line takes into account more than just dropped passes. Other recievers who caught less than 50% of passes last season were Chris Chambers, Plaxico Burress, Randy Moss, and Joe Horn. You can use stats to say whatever you want, yet just one stat never tells the whole story.

we have more than one stat that says that Lloyd is mediocre

Moulds hasn't been elite for a few years. He's decent now. Which is several levels above where Lloyd is, so maybe you're right.

Maybe I should have given him more attainable goals to start with. Maybe they could shoot for Sami Parker, Brian Finneran, Travis Taylor - in addition to the other guys I mentioned not named Eric Moulds.

Other than all that, I'd say the Skins are set for years. Because we all know how well the potential filled move of bringing in shrimpy David Patten in worked out for the amazing Gibbs. Why would we expect any less for these two?

Hmmm...over at ES we like to provide links to our stats...otherwise, we could just make up whatever we wanted to! How about it, superputz??

That wouldn't be 4 receptions for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns, would it? Because that was an impressive stat line. :)

I know exactly what the stat involves. I also know what these players have done over the course of their careers, and what their reputations are. The stat, only confirms the reputation.

Interesting, none of them have any superbowl rings either.

So go back there....

Please show them, and it was nice of you to ignore the rest of my post. I guess objectivity isn't a part of this discussion. The way you guys talk, I wonder why Lloyd is even still in the league.

At what point did this discussion have anything to do with superbowl rings? Yes, very interesting. :)
