We definitely were.He has trade value. It was reported that several teams were interested in Lance.
Its an amazing trade.
That 2021 draft class will be epic.

Why are you just making things up?We definitely were.

The trade value for a guy who has been a 3rd string QB on 2 teams, who can't beat out Sam Darnald or Cooper Rush, is Zero, zilch, zip, nil, naught, nothing . The stuff you smoke is a lot better than mine..He has trade value. It was reported that several teams were interested in Lance.
Those reports came from Jerry...He has trade value. It was reported that several teams were interested in Lance.
Either way it will be a bust for us, just like it was 10X worse for the Niners. The only question is, whether he makes it for some other team in the future.Lance needs developing. We knew that at the draft and when we made the trade. We knew he wouldn't get any snaps this year. Not new news. I don't understand why some keep saying we should put him in before he is ready.
He won't take any reps from Rush this year. Again not new news. The soonest he will be on a field of play for the Cowboys is preseason. It was true on the day we made the trade and still true today.
How on December 26th "Jerry screwed up royally trading for this bust" doesn't make a bit of sense. This trade might end up being a bust. But that won't be determined until a long time from now.
ESPN, Bleacher report. Those reports came from Jerry...
Based on???Either way it will be a bust for us
Based on his contract and lack of experience.Based on???
I don't smoke, now that you said you did I understand your post. The trade value for a guy who has been a 3rd string QB on 2 teams, who can't beat out Sam Darnald or Cooper Rush, is Zero, zilch, zip, nil, naught, nothing . The stuff you smoke is a lot better than mine..
Of corse it's a gamble. I'm not saying they will trade him. He might develope into a backup or starter. We don't know how good he is.Yeah, for a 6th rounder, and his value only goes down the closer he gets to free agency unless he shows marked signs of improvement.
I’m not saying he can’t or won’t be traded, just that it’s more of a gamble than I personally would have liked.
What do you think the Cowboys are going to do with Lance? Those reports came from Jerry...
We would be lucky to trade him for a 7th round pick in 2029.Of corse it's a gamble. I'm not saying they will trade him. He might develope into a backup or starter. We don't know how good he is.
Sounds as if la diva is not a role player.Throw him out there too early? This his 3rd season. He won’t be playing anyway this season, he’s not the backup. The only way he’ll have any chance of developing is by playing. The longer he’s on the sidelines, the less likely he’ll become a solid NFL QB. If he doesn’t get on the field until 2025 he’ll be stale. The Cowboys may look to trade him by then, because he’s not going to be happy as a backup. He wants another opportunity to be a starter and that won’t likely happen with the Cowboys.
Too early.Let's not ruin all the progress by throwing him out there too early.
Let's take a look next preseason and then put him back on the shelf. That fruit doesn't ripen until 2025.
The greatest enemy of player development is impatience.
He is a player that needs a lot of development. Now he has changed teams and offenses so he has a new offense to learn on top of that.Too early.
Hmmm.
...
He is a 3-year veteran. Or is he our pity project?
Another wasted draft pick on one of Jerry’s pet kittens. We could have used that pick and packaged with a second for Henry or a first for surtain back when the broncos were a mess. But no. Jerry needs to look like he made a steal. Look at me. Another fail by JerryLet’s admit, in deference to the NFL, Trey Lance is as useful as breasts on a fish. Let’s “take a look” at someone who at least has been playing quarterback, at some level, before considering a known failure to take the reins of the Cowboys.
