THAT is what is ridiculous. You don't receive a 1 year jail sentence with the idea that at the end the prosecutor might come along and say it can be extended if he feels like it.

He was suspended indefinitely and the Cowboys knew that when we made the deal Goodell came out and said this as did Jerry that there was no guarantees that Pacman would be reinstated. In April Pacman decide not to apply for a scheduled reinstatement hearing yet again Goodell is taking the heat on all of this.

Evidently he will be granted a hearing in June and we will see what happens but the league is not obligated to do anything which is why Jerry made the deal that he did with Tenn knowing full well that there was a chance that Pacman does not get reinstated.

As for no altercation he evidently slapped a lady at a strip club and even though she dropped the charges that does not look good to the NFL right now. The league is not under the same obligation as a court of law.

Punishment meted out should fit the offense committed, but it should also be a finite number. It is irrelevant WHO Pac Man plays for at it pertains to this issue. His suspension should be for a finite period and upon completing the duration of his suspension he should be immediately reinstated, barring the commission of another violation of NFL conduct rules. This whole thing is bordering on the absurd. Goodell is abusing his power as commissioner.

I put Pacman and Terry Glenn in the same boat. If either contributes to Dallas winning this year then I will be pleasantly surprised. I am just not counting on either to be available and to play at a high level.

I am sure I am one of the minority on this issue, but I could care less what a player does on his days off. If Pac Man were to go to every strip club in the DFW metroplex in the same day (which he probably would not have time to actually do-LOL) I don't think it should have ANYTHING to do with his ability to earn a living in the NFL.

Your point is understood and appears reasonable, however, I disagree with that concept to some degree. I am in the minority here, but I really don't care WHAT he was ACCUSED of doing. I also don't think that the NFL's marketability is hurt one bit by Pac Man, or any other thug. The Raiders in years past basically acted like criminals and their fans acted somewhat in accordance with that mindset and they were one of the most popular franchises for years.

Hanging out at strip clubs does not look good for a man in Pacman situation. You may not understand that but if he does not understand that he could be sitting out for a long time. Pacman is under strict guideline with the league the guy better not sneeze the wrong way right now.
