Sorry I should have said 98 out of 100. You and Forte's mom.

How many yards did AP have last year again? Around 1,800 less than Forte if memory serves.

P.S. I don't believe child abusers change their spots... I have enough experience with the matter to have come to that conclusion. AP might be better this year, for his kids sake I pray that he is... but... I believe in Sean Lee never getting hurt again before I believe in AP never laying a hand on a child again.

You obviously have issues with Peterson that have clouded your judgement about their football abilities. That happens all the time.

How will those guys be any better than what we have now?

There are a lot of better and proven backs out there than what we have now. Dallas is just being patient and letting it come to them. I believe when camp starts to roll around they will make some moves into figuring out who they want.

But to go with what we have now is lacking foresight and could lead to a major disappointment.

Thus I believe the starting runningback is not yet on the team.

If the Cowboys didn't value Murray at more than $6 mil per season, I can't see them valuing a guy who averaged almost a full yard less than him for $7 mil per season– and is two years older.

That just doesn't make sense.

If anyone thinks Forte is worth the trade effort because they believe him to be s bit better than Murray, you still don't let Murray walk for a lower salary and then pay more (without leverage) for an asset that you can only hope to land. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. This is not the direction the 'Boys are going, because it's just not good business.

The starting RB is either on the roster, or it's AD.

Forte's a decent back, but I consider him a poor-man's Murray. More of a banger with little speed.

If I had to pay $7 mil to one of them it would be Murray and it's not close.

My issues with him only affected him last year... you still have to explain why Forte did better than Peterson in 2011 and 2013

Stop.

Nice.........

Stop what? Stating the fact that Chicago's QB was a disaster all season long? If you watched any of CHI's games you would know that their team did quite well when they leaned on Forte and kept the ball out of Cutler's hands.

I'll pass on the "stop" and let you do that one for me.

Though I'm not totally opposed to the idea of trading for Forte- he's the proven every down back the Cowboys currently lack- I would much rather see them go after a younger, more explosive option. The Seahawks' Christine Michael, the Dolphins' Lamar Miller, and the Buccaneers' Doug Martin top my trade wish list. And all would cost substantially less than Forte.

Sorry if this was mentioned already, I haven't looked at the first 11 pages yet.

2011 he got hurt and still out produced him in TDs
2013 how good was MINNs QB??? CHI was number 2 offense
What about 2012?????

Forte is a nice RB but, it doesn't make sense. We would have to trade picks/players and still pay him a substantial amount, we should have just kept Murray if they are seriously considering that option.

Give me some names of backs who could be available that would be improvements? I don't think you'll find anything earth shattering

If AP is a child abuser so is my dad. And his dad. My dad was also a southern baptist minister, a war protester and a bleeding heart liberal. Wrap all that around your mind. Point is, parents do things they regret later because they love their children. Making them out to be a public pariah or felon is 2015 ridiculousness. Let the man play football. His son will be ok, as long as his son desires to be ok.

The only thing in that article I was even remotely interested in was Knile Davis. Would be cheap, can haul the mail 25 to 30 times a game if necessary and is young.

Forte was was good for a while and could get you 50 to 60 catches a year out of the backfield. Trading for him now would pretty much go against the philosophy of not paying Murray. Yeah he is a million or so cheaper than what Murray was looking for but that difference is made up in giving away Leary or a draft pick of any kind.

Sorry can't do it.

What clouds the issue of this whole discussion is the news recently that Jones would be willing to trade our #1 pick next year for a player who could help immediately.

Whom among these guys we are speaking of is worth that sort of price..?

Exclude AP also..as I don't think Minny wants to part with AP with Bridgewater at QB needing a RB and the threat of playaction needed to give him more time to read the defense.

So who fits this scenario?

Do we really need earth shattering?

We just need productive, dependable, reliable, not prone to injury. Similar to the things Murray did. Murray wasn't earth shattering. But was productive, dependable, reliable, stayed healthy all year.

None of our backs have shown any type of consistency of being productive, dependable, reliable, and Williams and McFadden are prone to injuries. Forte was always productive and his production would probably translate to Dallas.

Its funny that McFadden gets a pass despite several question marks. Yet no one takes Forte's productive into account.

Forte has produced and will probably produce more so in Dallas. We don't need him to be earth shattering.

I'd take Forte over any of our backs right now so that we can solidify that position heading into camp.

However, the Cowboys have also been holding their cards very close to not let anyone know what they are up to.

Cowboys analysts Bryan Broaddus believes the Cowboys are going to add another piece to their backfield. He also believes that the Cowboys will probably be shopping offensive lineman Ronald Leary.

PLEASE DON'T TRADE FOR ANY OTHER RB UNLESS IT IS AP! Now if our current group does not work out then drat one next year.
