I hate the Royals!!! Hosmer is such a damn turd! Like AJ Pierzynsnki level.

Brett and Sabs were awesome, obviously. But, now, that team and their fanbase are insufferable

I went to 6 games last June when I went home and 2 were against the Royals. I missed the game where Manny charged the mound and hit the pitcher - the guy that got killed. I really wanted to go to that game but had to go with the wife and kids to her brothers that night because it was the only night he could see us. I was so pissed when I saw that play. I should have been there but WASNT. SO the Wed night game I sat next to a Royals fan that flew in for the series. I was polite but I thought he was rather proud and pompous about his team. He acted like they were some dynasty that had been winning long term.

They are absolutely arrogant and entitled. Like a Yankees or Red Sox fan's little brother. Think Golden State Warriors or Seahawks smug. Teams without a rich history but think they're the shyte, WPB.

They invade our stadium. They are smug and their team is smug. They are just like the fan you described in my experiences.

Adopt the Angels, my dear friend :)
lol. I went to an Expos-Philidelphia game yrs ago...fell asleep...hahaha..not a hit..no fights...l was seriously impressed with how far these boys could hit a ball though...even the pop ups were unreal...interesting..tactically..but a slow paced...intellectual game to me. Give me the sudden impact of a boxing match or the emotional drain of an NHL sudden death Playoff game.

Yeah, baseball isn't for everyone, Boxer. Did you go around the time Vlad Guerrero was an Expo?

I love my hockey and boxing, too. :)

And, remember, you'll always have your Kings :muttley:

Oh yea I was amazed at his delusion. Just sitting next to him and talking with him made me hate that team more. Like 10x more.

Yankees fans have that entitlement attitude.

Red Sox fans are that New England smugness obnoxious. How can anybody be more obnoxious than a NYer? But they do it. We call them pink hat nation. The sows all wear these.

At least the Yanks and Sox have the history to back the smug. Believe me, we can't stand them, either. When the Sox or Yanks come to town, half our stadium is full of them.

But I'll, weirdly, take that over Royals or White Sox fans.

Right. They spent a pile of money back then. Never worked out for winning it all tho.

In 1977 Bobby Bonds put together one heck of a season for the Angels... In one of his "I'll play for this team for one season only" which happened after he left the Giants.

I've always been fascinated by his career because you wouldn't think a guy who could hit 30 homers, steal 30 bases and play decent outfield would be constantly on the move... Not sure what it was... Some sort of personnel bad habit... I dunno.

My first Orioles game got me hooked. The pitcher brushed back Lee May twice and he hit the dirt on both pitches. After the 2nd one he threw his bat at the pitcher and charged the mound. The Dugouts emptied. Bullpens emptied with all those pitchers running in thru the outfield. It was a great scuffle. Ive been hooked ever since.

Maybe he was as likable as his son? :muttley:

I dont remember White Sox fans being all that bad in Baltimore. Dont remember seeing all that many actually.

Maybe its because Harold Baines was a MD boy from Easton.

My gosh, we hate em in Cali. They doused us from the '05 ALCS with that **** bag AJ. Their fans are horrible. Just a notch below Royal fan.

Baines was a beaut. Very deserving of the HoF. And he predates our hatred for them (I guess we don't like a lot of teams lol :))

I hated that he played for the White Sox. But I dont know that we hate the Sox in a big way. Hate that "he gone" announcer more than the team. They have the most blind loyalist homer announcers of any team in sports except for the Commanders.
