I think Cousins is trying his value coming off an achilles. Such bad bad timing for that injury. Good situation for both him and GSW. GS isnt going to press him to play before he is ready, and they can give him rotations in while he builds strength back up in his heal. Going somewhere and he would have been expected to play 35 minutes plus as soon as he is cleared. GS, they can afford to feed him a slower diet of minutes.

This signing will be killer in May and June when it matters

I think you hit the nail. By NBA standards $5.3M for a short term part-time player is a steal. He’s not a perfect scheme fit but I think at worst he becomes an exponentially more talented Maurice Speights in his role.

The Warriors just somehow increased their overall talent level and with guys like Jordan Bell and Damian Jones digging out more minutes in the rotation. The latter (Jones) will be an instant upgrade over Pachulia who may have been the worst player in the league the past 1-2 years.

Come playoff time, he should be able to play 30 minutes plus.

As far as fits, Cousins is an excellent ball mover for a 5. He is also a very strong defender. I think at stage in his career of he is going to play forna winner, he will find a way to fit himself.

Will be interesting to see what the Cavs do from here. I think they could get a decent asset for Love and I think thats what they should do. They are on the hook for Thompson and Smith for two more years, so that really hurts. I don't see them getting out of those without giving up assets.

If Im Boston right now, Im seeing if I can pry KAT off Minnesota. Butler is reportedly fed up with him and won't reup.

Being that KAT is in a rookie scale still, a salary match wouldnt be difficult. I would off up Rozier, Yabusele, and 3 first rounders ( Including Sac and Grizzlies) for KAT and see if they bite.

I would even include Robert Williams if it gets it done

Warriors resign Kevon Looney to a one-year deal.

Nice low cost signing that fills out the bench and still has some upside. I was sure someone was gonna overpay for him.

LeBron Going to the western conference clears the path for the Celtics to get to the finals. Maybe?

Most likely unless 76ers make some serious moves or Fultz becomes All NBA overnight. They are way behind Boston right now. People point to the fact there best two players were young, but Bostons best two players in that series were even younger. And they are getting two All Stars back next year.

Philadelphia needs to make some very serious moves before they can compete with Boston. Im more afraid of Milwaukee if they add another All Star caliber player. They played us real tough and would have won if Bledsoe wasnt so overrated and overmatched again Rozier. Giannis and Middleton are a legit winning duo, and they have some decent role players. They need one more guy to be as good as they hope Jabari would be. I think Thon and a frp would get them a good third peice. Thon is a nice prospect and a nice role player right now, but I think he helps them more as a trade asset then as a player

I just cant take the Raptors seriously

Thanks for the insight. Boston get Hayward back? Not sure of spelling.

What are your thoughts of possibly losing Irving? I know that you guys have the alleged best young coach in the game, but still, I'm sure you don't want that.
Its a possibility but I don't think he will walk or even hit the open market. I think he opts out and extends next offseason before FA starts. Money wise its his best. The Knicks are a legit threat to steal him. And honestly I think with development from Nkilakina and Knox, along with dominance from Porzingis they would vault to #2 in the East.

As far wanting him to stay or go. I absolutely dont want to lose. We have a nice PG behind him in Rozier, but the difference between Irving and Rozier was the difference between losing in the ECF to a weak Cavs team VS being legit contenders. Irving may be only behind Curry in terms of the most skilled scoring PG's in the game. And while he has never been a great facilitator, our puts facilitation on 5 players ( much like GS) and that makes up for it.

Even though Kawhi is a better player, I would trade him for Kyrie straight up because I think Kyrie is such a good fit for us
