Do you feel like he's had enough catachable balsl thrown his way to say he's "not producing"? He's had 8 targets in 2 games and 5 of those passes were actually catchable.

And he's caught exactly two of them!

And again, is he wide open out there and folks want to blame Romo for not seeing this?

I mean honestly, when do the excuses actually end and we see things for what they are?

Austin hasn't just been bad this year, he's been pathetic. Injured or not, his contributions to this team and the salary he's being paid are a joke.

One that hopefully ends one way or another after this season.

Miles is one of the worst value contracts on the team.

He's the 5th best option on offense. Enjoy your last season in Dallas, Miles.

My point is, I only care about wins. If Dez has 0 catches in a win I could careless. And on that big run Dunbar had did you see who the receivers out there blocking and one of our bigges runs all year? Miles and Bernadeau.

And I think you're reaching with any Austin = wins claims.

It has much more to do with playing bad teams than anything Austin has (or hasn't) done.

Oh i'm not blaming Romo. We are 2-0 since Miles has been back. When you are 2-0 you don't look for "blame" you look for "credit". There's nothing to complain about here from me. Romo has 5 or 6 guys he consistently goes to on offense. Someone has to be the odd man out. The past two weeks the guys getting the majority of the targets are Dez, Demarco and Witten. If that continues it won't bother me. I'm sure it will some fantasy players.

3 100-yard games since 2010.

1 game with 2 or more TDs since 2010.

Since Week 1 Tony has a 45.26 QB Rating when targeting Miles and since returning from his hamstring injury he's pulled in a sad 2 of 8 targets for only 35 yards despite playing 104 snaps in that time.

Yes he was great in 2009. Yes his 2010 season was solid and unappreciated. But he really brings nothing in terms of effective play to the field, and what little he does bring is not worth offsetting Williams developing. The team did this with Dez in 2010, playing Roy over him and it was dumb then and it is dumb now. People won't want to say it, because Miles was once a very good player here and Roy Williams never was, but he's just as bad now as Roy was in his last season in Dallas.

I don't think Terrance Williams has proven that he's trustworthy enough yet to be given the No. 2 receiver role. He still runs some poor routes, rounding them off, and dropped some of the passes that would have helped Dallas out when Dez was being doubled.

He's the long-term replacement for Austin, but needs a little more time in the cooker before he's completely ready.

I won't lie i'm not familiar enough with restructuring. I didn't even know that was a option with Free. I thought it was cut or keep him for his salary. I knew about restructuring just didn' know the rules behind it.

If i'm Miles i'd probably go to a team and audition for a bigger contract somewhere else. Maybe tryout for the Pats? Something along those lines. A team with a solid or great quarterback where he'd have a shot at being a #1. I wouldn' tbe upset if Miles was here next year with a reduced salary like Free if possible.

There's no doubt in my mind he can play. I just have a fear of his hammy's. Its unfortunate for him that he has hammy problems like that.

He is not a #1 WR in this league anymore. Not with the pats. Not with anybody. He needs to be a better #3 WR at this point. I can think of 4 other ppl I'd rather throw the ball to on offense.

Well its been how we've looked in those wins. The offense looks better. The run game looks better. Dez and Witten have seen less double teams. Only two things have changed from 4 weeks ago in New Orleans and that's the whole Wade Wilson, JG and Callahan situation and Miles has been healthy.

If healthy he'd be a better #1 for the Pats than Amendola right now.

Agreed. I hate how they've been forcing Terrance to be something he simply isn't yet. He rarely gets separation when he's out there. It just seems like with him Romo has to fit balls into him to get him the ball. The game will coem easier to him. I think Terrance will be a solid #2 for us. Maybe even Beasley and/or Harris will be solid #3's for us. But as of right now they aren't ready. And there's no shame in that.

Lol. Magic Miles. All the sudden we can run the ball and figure out how to move dez around and voila, the offense looks better. It's called playing inferior teams.

Miles better than amendola? Seriously? I find that ridiculous. Amendola is hands down, head and shoulders above miles at this point in their careers. Thats Absurd.

We've been playing the same caliber of teams all year. What all of a sudden we've been playing the Raiders of the world lol. Cowboys are in no position to call anyone "inferior" with how inconsistent they've been.

He said "receivers" not wide receivers.

This should be obvious.

And Witten doesn't run many routes. In. Out. Up the seam. the end.

Miles runs more routes and has to make more reads on the fly.

Either way this is a pointless argument.

Cole is good for the option route. That's it.

Williams at this point is a vertical threat only.

This team is better with Miles....by a comfortable margin.

I completely agree. I think people forget how great Austin is when healthy.

Twill is the second best receiver on the team. So he's the #2. Not forcing anything. Theirs just nobody better to put in that spot. That's why he was drafted. The scheme/playbook doesn't help them either.

That's your opinion. If both guys are healthy i'd rather have Miles. Just my opinion. We'll agree to disagree on that one. I guess its the 358 yards in 7 games on a Pats team looking for a #1 option while Grons was injured excites you?

I dont think Amendola has ever really had a good year. Miles has had several years better than his best... Plus hammies arent nearly as the injuries Amendola has suffered.

I'm not talking about his role on the depth chart. I'm referring to the game where he had more targets than Dez Bryant. A double teamed Dez Bryant is better than a single covered Terrance Williams. Let's just be real here....There are times when Terrence Willaims is covered and they will still try to get him the football. Its not really a complaint. Its just something that I wish we wouldn't do.

He hasn't. His been hurt more than Miles has too. But its the Miles agenda in some of these fans....lol. Amendola hasn't ever had 1 good season under his belt but he's better than Miles lol. Yikes.

Do the giants and raiders combined have as many wins as the cowboys? It's safe to call them inferior. Wait till we play a team with a winning record. I have a feeling some of our old problems will rear their ugly heads once again, magic miles or no miles.

Which one has been hurt by hammy problems and which one hasn't? And 1 TD and 1 INT doesn't excite me as much as you guys....

I'd take 2009, 2010, and maybe even 2008 Miles Austin as my 2nd receiver in a heartbeat. But he's not that player anymore because of the chronic hamstring injuries.

Had the Giants beat us last game we would've had the same record lol.
