Pettiti not the answer at RT...

You have to remember that some just post here to cause turmoil. they are not true Boys fans. Anyone with a brain knows that Pettiti is a rook learning a different position under fire. But to some (who are truly moronic if they really mean it) he should be an all pro out of the box.

Pettiti will be fine, but he does struggle against quicker, faster DE's. But he needs to have a few bad days to learn how to make adjustments to his game. I have a problem with Al "Short Arm" Johnson and the fumbling of a snap once a game. And Rivera and his lousy holding calls. The 10 penalties and two turnovers are what caused us to lose this game. We have to execute in the red zone, not make dumb mistakes...we are still mentally soft, and until that changes, we will not be able to win a championship.

Rivera really disapoints me. He should be our best O lineman now, since LA is not stepping up. But he is just average at best.

That's right.

To be honest this defense has surprised me coming together so early with so many new faces...I honestly did not think we would see a defense of this caliber until after the halfway point.

It just goes to show the pattern this team has and the main problem, whether it be from the coaches or players....

Inconsistency....and until we can grow as a team (players and coaches on the same page) then it will continue.

People have a right to there opinions and those opinions can ceratinly be posted on an open forum but man, this is straight out BS on Pettiti, IMO. I don't mean to come off like the resident board conscience but damn. This is a bit out of hand from my point of view.

I agree. This team is playing about as I thought they would. They are young. They are going to lose games like this. It's part of the maturation process.

7 games - yep that is plenty of time to evaluate whether a player can make it in the NFL. BP gives 3 seasons - but realy why wait. Let's just cut him and move on.

Petitti will be fine. He had a bad game. He still didn't lose it for us. He'll review the tape and learn from it. Cut him some slack and focus your ire on Cortez and the coaches.

he had a bad game last week too, and he doesnt appear to be getting better...if anything he appears to be regressing

his run blocking isnt bad but right now he's a major liability as a pass protector...with Okeafor and Berry coming to town, we're probably in for another week of seeing Bledsoe get drilled repeatedly

There's no shame in getting beat by Michael Strahan a couple of times as a rookie. The way I see it, he's had 1 bad game, and every other game he's been anywhere from pretty good to fantastic.

He's only been playing RT for like 3 months now, give him some time.

i don't wear rose colored glasses nor do i take offense to negative posting. i know rob has worked extremely hard for this opportunity and will work even harder to improve his play. rob played poorly yesterday and those saying so are correct. however, he played pretty well the previous two weeks. i'm not worried about rob because he has already done more this year than i thought he would. i'm not bothered by those who say he is not the answer, i'm only concerned if parcells says he is not the answer at rt.

so please feel free to post whatever you like, but just remember rob is busting his butt to play the best he can. if that turns out to be sub par than i expect the team to make an adjustment which will hurt far worse than anything said here.

seriously Strahan could get 2 sacks against any T in the league, I guarantee it. It could have happened against Walter Jones, Orlando Pace etc. just as it happened to Rob.
