Did anyone here play the destiny beta? I was never really into Halo but the hype for destiny is starting to get to me now. Would someone who never really got into Halo enjoy it?

I played it almost daily. It has some major Halo influences, mixed with MMO style loot grinding like Borderlands. I thought it was amazing. The public events and friend-list raids for unique loot are going to set it apart from shooters. Of course there is always PvP which I enjoyed as well. You can even tackle the majority of the game solo. Like I've stated before, Destiny is unique in that you can play pretty much however you want to. I've preordered the Digital Guardian Edition and absolutely can't wait for it. Plus the PS4 has all of the exclusive content between the consoles.

You can show up September 8th around 6pm and get a #. The doors will reopen for those with a # around 10 pm and copies will be handed out in # order at midnight.

I must be the only person in the world who finds Destiny to be a normal MMO, same kind i've seen for years on PC games. They all have a PvP element, great graphics if you have a good computer and loot/groups/story-lines.

Good game, and i'll end up buying it eventually...but nothing crazy like i was expecting. Or maybe it's not crazy to me because i was a PC gamer before console, so it's really nothing new.

I have it pre-ordered at Gamestop but I'm not going in for any midnight junk to pick it up. It'll be right there waiting for me Wednesday morning at 10 am when they open up. I'll pick it up then.

Doing all that standing in line, waiting around, until after midnight just so I can go home, put the game on the table, and go to bed so I can get up for the work the next morning?

I wouldn't say they are struggling to sell consoles. PS4 is doing much better, but the Xb One is still selling solidly.

It does show a little weakness (desperation) but there is nothing wrong with that considering how bad the PR was for the system initially. They almost need to make it up to consumers by decreasing the price, going out of their way to lock up exclusives, etc. but they haven't really gone to that point (yet). The decreased FPS issue (compared to 4) does separate the two systems in terms of quality (my opinion) and price should reflect that.

Will still buy one down the road when price decreases and the exclusives increase. Right now I feel like I'm missing out on Halo and the upcoming Tomb Raider. TR is an example of what I am speaking of in terms of locking up content in comparison to PS4 exclusives, etc.

That is funny (just in general) but on a side note NHL looks amazing and will be my next sports game purchase, even before NBA 2K15. (sick) Have guarderd optimism regarding Destiny after not playing the beta. Will have it by this weekend though to see for myself.
