Put down the 'blue kool aid.'

I've been a Cowboys fan since '77.

I don't like the way my team is being managed.

This coming from a "Guy" who has a picture of Rich Eisen?

Crayton is a dependable #2 with phenomenal hands and finesse.
I think losing Glenn is bad thing, but not quite as bad as many would like to believe.
We'll take a step back in the explosive deep threat ability by losing Glenn. But we'll take a step forward in the move-the-chains ability by gaining Crayton.

Glenn is dominant at times. But he disappears for stretches of games, also.
I don't think Crayton will disappear as often and will provide solid performances every week.

If you have to lose an offensive starter, I think Glenn is the best case scenario.

Mark my words, Crayton will be a pleasant surprise.

If true its a shame for you guys. You hate to see a starter go out for the season before it begins

Watch Adarius Bowman of OSU , Harry Douglas of Louisville and Earl Doucet LSU.... Limas Sweed of Texas

And of course D. Jackson if he comes out...
If you want a mid round sleeper check out Jason Rivers from Hawaii.

Should have kept Peerless Price.. He is starting for Bills
That's because the Bills have very little apart from Lee Evans at WR.

2 7th round corners and a QB wanna-be-wr.

Ball was cut.

Brown was moved to safety.

Stanback is learning how to play WR.

Nice draft picks.

This is how the Detroit Lions were 'built'
Recipe:
1. Kvetch about late-round draft picksthat are raw. (developmental players, usually)

2.Compare their personnel decision to the worst team in football this decade without evidence.

Repeat ad nauseam

When you can prove what % of the team you own, we might take you seriously. Until then, you're just a chronic complainer with an Eisen-steiner complex.

I don't own anything.

But when I think about the amount of money I've spent on this team over the years...

The Bills game cost me $600 just for the tickets.

You can't be serious. You think Stanback will be ready to replace Terry Glenn by next year?

It takes WR's that played the position in college a couple of years to adjust to the pro game. It's going to take a QB to WR conversion considerably longer to be considered starting material.

Matt Jones, the QB turned WR that the Jaguars drafted is still trying to adjust to the position. The only reason they start him, is because the rest of their WR's are just as bad. I would hate for that to be the position we're in next year.

What is it about "long term" and "I doubt he's ready" that you don't understand?

Crayton was a college QB. He seemed to do OK.

Every player is different in how they adjust to the pro game, but you need to read my post again. I said I doubted Stanback would be ready before sometime next year. That doesn't mean he can step in for Glenn week one. It means someone has to step up for at least this season and part of next season at the best. If that doesn't happen there is going to be a lag while even a 1st rounder develops into a starter.

That also doesn't mean we have to panic and trade the house for another retread WR. We lucked out with Glenn. He washed out with two teams before he found a home here. I would rather see a guy developed in-house but my crystal ball is broken and I don't know how Hurd and Austin and Stanback and Crayton will work out this season. I doubt you do either.

Trading for a star wideout would cost a fortune. Luckily (or masterfully played by our GM, depending on how you look at it) we have not one but two first round picks next year to fill this hole. I would have loved to have had two first round picks last year to get a WR and and OLB but we didn't so why are you getting your panties in a knot about it? You can only use each draft pick one time so choices have to be made.

Do you want Carpenter starting Sunday? The choice is either him or Junior Glymph if we don't take Spencer. I'd rather have Crayton and Spencer than Glenn and Glymph.

I think Patrick can hold his own. He won't take the heat off Owens like Terry did, but there are so many offensive threats that covering all of them will always be the priority. I also don't think Terry's speed was going to be the threat it was in the past because all tho Tony most certainly can make enough of the pro QB's repertoire of throws needed to be a VERY successful QB, Terry's speed was a greater asset to classic strong armed QBs.

I wouldn't sell Crayton short - nor Hurd. They will pick up enough slack to stay competitive, and their is intriguing talent in Stanback. What matters most, imho, is the sheer number of guys on the O who have to be reckoned with, and that includes an emerging Curtis.

I am not even convinced, nor am I sure that the Cowboys are convinced that we need WR help. If there was one position that we could afford to lose a starter for the entire season at, it is WR.

Crayton has proven that he is one of the best #3 WR's in the game, and has done a more than adiquate job as the #2 guy when called upon. I also think than Sam Hurd while not a defense strecher seems to be a very solid WR, and I expect him to suprise alot of people with his play this year.

4 WRs + 1 Developmental WR ?

Please.

If Glenn is gone, we need another WR.

Does anyone else feel that it will be Hurd that actually benefits the most from this & could take over the #2 WR spot better than Crayton.

I reallly like Crayton as #3 slot guy, but not a #2.
