Really? Incognito is gone. Martin has a J.O.B.

Never heard of bullying in the NFL? Does that make it NOT possible? Never happens/happened? Where do you get this stuff?

They tip toe around jerry ALL THE TIME. Fans AND media.

how do people tip toe around Jerry? Read the post around here about Jerry, listen to the media slams on Jerry. Tip toe? lol

No doubt, I think Martin should have confronted those he felt were bullying and no I don't think all situation as the same. How a person handles a bully in an office is much different than how you handle it in a sports enviorment. In either case yes I think you confront the person and talk to them if that does not stop the harrasment then go to the office manager after all the rules in an office are also much different than in a locker room. I doubt many people keep their jobs if a fight breaks out in an office yet in the NFL there are fights on the practice field during every camp, heck the media loves reporting the 1st altercation between players in camp. So no I don't see all situation as the same nor dealing with each incident the same.

You may have a point...this team has too much of a mean streak and needs a softer attitude adjustment:rolleyes:

Couldn't help it R2A

nothing more needs to be said.

this team needs an incongnito/haley type.

Well thank, much of what I have said in this thread was directed at this situation in a sports enviroment. Others seem to as fuzzy said use a broad brush and acting as if NFL locker room and a place of business are somehow one in the same, they are not

His point wasn't that bullying does not exist.

He knows it exists, .. his point was that we have never heard of anyone being bullied in the NFL because nobody has ever been wussy enough in the past, .. to not handle it on their own, .. and report it publicly.

I paint a reality in the NFL this is not office this is a locker room, this guys can't cut it and yes not standing up for himself and if you bother to read the damn text you will see he is just as guilty. He never once says anything to incoginto about being bullied or that he does not care for that. No he joins in he lies and then plays innocent in the whole matter. You guys are too funny defending this scum and no I sure as hell would not want a spastic like him in the locker room. Guy is a fricken loser. Your comments are as if you are talking about a child and maybe your right Martin is a child and does not belong on a NFL team with men.

Pouncey and McDonald also participated. You really do not understand abusive relationships or sociopathic behavior at all. Ingcognito created and their immediate superior supported an environment where you either participated in said behavior or you were subject to it.

Or you stand up for yourself and put a stop to it.

I know you can't believe it, .. but that is one option.

First, Mr. Paine:

A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right.

Was there another circumstance where the veteran leader and the position coach were organizing and enforcing such behavior? Please give examples of other players who have had to deal with an empowered sociopath. Be specific.

Or you stand up for yourself and put a stop to it.

Again, you are not dealing with your typical HS bully. You have had an MD come on here and explain that a sociopath or anti social escalates rather than back down. Instead they double down and focus all their attention on the threat. You seem incredibly naive to think you can retaliate and good things will ensue.

and that explains Martin interaction with Incognito? I take it you have not read the text between the 2 because much of it is normal bantering between players with Martin being just as crud never once saying anything about incognito actions or how he needs to stop no he just goes along with it and act as the same way. As for Pouncy and McDonald they too are grown men capable of making their own choices anything they may have done or said is on them but again Martin according to the text is acting the same way as they are yet he is somehow the victim? lol OK

Did I actually say retaliate, .. I said stand up for yourself.

So then what you think he can just say 'stop this' and that will work? Naive as heck it seems.

What do you have in mind when you say 'stand up for yourself.'

Duh, .. if it has not been reported, how would I know about it?

Henderson confronted Randy White and White kicked his butt. Roger and Clint Longley got into it and Roger kicked his butt. Neither case did they run to Landry and say he is picking on me, instead they did what most typical men would do in the world they live in and play in.

You still completely miss my point. I know you want to equate Incognito to a big kid at your sons middle school but its not the same at all.

Maybe it isn't all that different, .. who knows?

You don't. You don't know what Incognito's reaction would have been if Martin had stood up to him and said, .. "enough, not funny any more, not cool."

It's not the same circumstance whatsoever. If Henderson got the rest of the LB corps as well as their coach to harass White who would be a rookie as well as everyone else they came into contact then sure.
