I sure hope we know what we're talking about.. We may be in search for a new QB if we don't.

One thing we seem to be forgetting, TO has been here for every step of Romo's short career. In fact, a intricate part in even getting him on the field. Perhaps even the dagger that left Drew Henson lying dead on the sideline bench for good and not our current QB in need of replacement.

Aside from that all though, there has been one other constant going on beneath our open eyes.. Tony Romo. His lackluster attitude and his golden eye for the starlight twinkles he seems to always have to date and let interfere with his game.

He can't even keep them at home, he has to bring them to games and propel them right into the spotlight. Doesn't matter if he's been dating them for a year or a day.

Then when he loses it's almost like he's got this "aw shux" attitude, which I bet plays great with the ladies "feeling his pain" after the game.

Reality really is, TO could have been a very convenient finger to point for Romo to divert the attention off of what happen to him.

Then let's not overlook that injury to his finger, which seemed to trigger the start of our problems, not mentally on the field with Romo but physically on the field. Also something I don't think one person can say for certain whether or not he's fully recovered from, if he ever will be.

Personally, I think Dallas went about this the wrong way. Fact is, the guy produced for us. And he still produced up to the point of being forced out. Which has many fans still crying out his name and could be something we continue to hear this whole next season, especially if things go wrong for us. IMO the best remedy would have been to cause a real "stink" around the whole matter. I mean it's not like drama wasn't already circulating the entire previous season as it was. At least this would have given it meaning and closed out any doubts fans may have about the former #81 wearing the Star

But that's not what happen. Instead, another "rich boy" who just always has to see his name in the paper for some reason, pulled a crybaby with daddy and got what he wanted instead. Of course though, using the help of Garrett and Romo, two individuals seriously on the hot seat, themselves, after last year's performances.

I'm just saying I hope we didn't listen to the wrong people.

I can think of 2 games 2 seasons ago where I saw Jessica at a game....have you seen her at a game since? yes she has been there but it been on the down low......bringing up Jessica as a fault of Romo is just idiocy.....so he has a hot GF...most NFL qbs do.......I guess Gisele is why the Pats lost that SB to NY huh?.....or maybe Brenda Warner (not hot but still his wife in the spotlight) lost it for the Cards?......its a stupid point brought up only by idiots

so instead of listening to his son a very good business man, his star top 4 QB with tons of upside, and a young genius coordinator with a very bright future....Jerry should have just listened to a 35 year old slipping WR who has always caused these very problems? so we get rid of Wade, Garrett, Romo and sit S.Jones in the corner and trust the WR and when its still happening next season...i guess we get rid of Witten and whoever else the Wr says huh....then he'll be 37 and probably done ...but hey he knows best huh

the guy is delusional and his fans are just as blind as he is

by the way i think you got some T.O. poo on your nose.............

"You hear all the speculation, and you talk to the owner of the team, and he reassures you, you're not going anywhere and then, out of left-field … you get blindsided."
He heard the speculation. He talked to the owner. The owner stated that the speculation was false. Afterwards, the owner released him.

Owens wasn't blindsided. He would have to be oblivious of his situation to have been blindsided. Truthfully, he did not anticipate his release from the Cowboys based upon his one-on-one conversation with Jones.

Now, everyone knows that Owens is a smart man--although his knowledge of geography can be slightly skewed. His intentional use of the word blindside (and to a certain extent, his use of the term "out of left field") was meant to prompt sympathy due to the 'grave injustice' done to him. He could very easily have stated, "You hear all the speculation, and you talk to the owner of the team, and he reassures you, you're not going anywhere. I never anticipated being released." For someone as brutally honest as himself, he knows exactly how he framed his response and that he wasn't being 100% truthful.

Same old Terrell "Soap Opera" Owens. Always has been. Always will be.

Do your thiang in Buffalo T.O., and watch while we go nowhere again because of the boneheaded move.

That is one score in the negative column for Stephen in my book. Jerry disappointed me on this one.

I had predicted us in the SB this year or next, but it will be a little longer, once Jery realizes we need some real WRs, and QB

Yeah you are right. I mean seeing as we were in the Super Bowl in the past three seasons with Terrell Owens on the team.

Jerry did blindside him if he told him he was going to keep him and then released him (if we believed everything the media told us or speculated upon, you would go insane). And he did technically reneg on his contract.

But, big deal.

Happens all of the time in the NFL because that's the way the league is set up...for better or for worse. And the players know and understand that by now.

Furthermore, Owens did keep quiet for periods of time. In '07 he refused to talk to the media while he was rehabbing his hand. The media's response? 'He's only being quiet because he wants attention!' And he did keep quiet to Mr. Blue Suit by refusing to answer his questions. Mr. Blue Suit's response? Write an article quoting ONE anonymous source 'who regularly speaks to Owens' teammates' that he's jealous of Witten and Romo's relationship.

I don't think there was a conspiracy to get Owens out of Dallas by anyone, but some media members saw him as a great way to get people to read their work or watch their TV show or listen to them on the radio. And it's obvious that they would still love to have Owens in Dallas to provide them with more material. Surely, some people didn't like Owens, but he sure had plenty of supporters in the organization.

I wish I could feel that Owens was the reason why the team went 9-7 last year. It would be very easy to just cut him and see the team perform better next season. But I really don't see Owens as that big of a problem for the team and coaches should be able to work around that. Apparently Jason Garrett wasn't able to.

Where is TO playing now? New England? Indianapolis? Pittsburgh? New York Giants? Philadelphia?

Surely one of the league's elite franchises has jumped at an opportunity to secure this superstar WR, who's such a great lockerroom presence.

Nice try, but explain why the Patriots traded for Corey Dillon and Randy Moss. Moss was a problem in the locker room, on the field and off the field. Yet an elite franchise chose him. Dillon was the same way but worse off the field with his indiscretions. And the G-Men are apparently taking Plaxico back.

Some of these elite organizations have little issue with signing a troubled player. So making the point that he only signed with the Bills is a bit short sighted.

Moss dogged it in that hell hole Oakland. he didn't run his mouth all the time and cause highschool girl drama in the locker room like me-o. can't speak on Corey Dillon cause I didn't pay much attention to him. Plax is a good teammate.

If that helps you sleep at night.

But Moss caused huge problems in Oakland and Minnesota before that. He ran his mouth all of the time.

So a good teammate gets in arguments with the coaching staff? And a good teammate gets in trouble with the law?

If you don't like Owens...fine. But making it look like elite teams wouldn't dare sign a guy like that or that guys like Moss, Dillon and Plax are not headaches is silly.

I was blindsided myself. I never thought Jerry had it in him. He's stubborn but he’s not crazy or stupid. Jerry knew it was time; he was just trying to convince himself and all of us otherwise and realized it was an exercise in futility. He tried to squeeze one more year out of the 13-3 outfit, but it finally dawn on him that this cancer, albeit talented and handsome, was indeed a malignant tumor spreading around his locker room and proceeded with the extirpation. Will it affect us record wise? Probably, but in the long run you save your franchise QB, then it was well worth it IMHO.

Let's please not be so simplistic in our little black and white world that we pretend that all head cases are the same. Being occasionally sullen or loafing on a route on a horrible team is not the equivalent of having a penchant for almost a neurotic need to divide lockerrooms on a continual basis. If he just wanted out of a bad situation that would be one thing. He didn't want out, he wanted to divide the team into "them vs us" to prove some point he conjured up in his neurotic, convoluded head.

Everyone but TOs staunchest supporters know this. I swear, I don't know how many Cowboy fans got sucked into this nutcase's spell, especially after he disgraced this franchise by celebrating on on the star at Texas Stadium (twice) before he got here. But I guess once a player puts on the silver and blue colored laudry, then he's just "misunderstood". He was nothing more than a mercenary player, making rap songs bragging how he got his money from Jerry Jones the moment he signed, and I don't know why anyone got emotionally invested in him as a human being or a player. He'll be as significant in Cowboy lore as Ryan Young. If he played for any other team his staunchest supporters here would be the first one pointing fingers and laughing at them for being so emotionally invested and loyal to this fool. The rest of us still get that pleasure, but it's not as fun doing it to other Cowboy fans.
