Magic Number is 20. But Roy Oswalt sucks and has been a huge disappointment so no making the number 19 today.

The offense was in the toilet too today, so even if he had a good day it wouldn't have mattered.

In my personal opinion if the offense had put up 10 runs, he would have given up 11. For being a vet, he sure is testy and has some sour grapes. All of that carrying on about being in the pen vs starting? The guy is paid a lot of money to pitch basically 2/3rds of a season.

He needs to shut his yap and do his job instead of acting like a big baby.

Looks like he was pulled after two innings yesterday anyways. I wasnt able to watch the game though.

A move like this would ultimately kill the Rangers as we know it.

Sign Hamilton to a max deal, and lose 3 players in the process?

OR

Lose Hamilton and sign 3 players, have money left over to sign somebody else..

OR

Lose Hamilton and sign 2 players and have money left over to upgrade pitching.

I disagree. Sign your anchor (Hamilton) and have youth fill in for the other missed players. I think the pieces are there so it wont kill the Rangers. Roster has to change some or we will be old and tied down by money with nowhere to go before we know it. You have to let the farm do its job.

Bad choke job by Nathan...we had to take care of business today with Oakland finally losing. Nathan pitching on his 3rd straight night :bang2: Looked awful

Agreed, someone else besides Nathan should have pitched. It has already been proven this season that Nathan can't pitch three consecutive days. Wish the team could recall that when an average fan such as myself remembers June...

On the bright side, Oakland did lose, so the magic number is at 17 now.

He had a tired arm.

But the fact that there were totally moronic fans who BOOED him....that blew me away.

The guy had 31 straight saves...a Ranger record.

He blows one save and some meatheads boo the man.

Public tar and feathering at a Ranger game would not be enough punishment for those idiots.:D

Galloway was joking that the imbeciles may not have been Ranger fans but a few Romo-haters posing as baseball fans. he said they probably came to the game opn their mopeds and booed first chance they got. :laugh2:

Oakland needs to start losing, fast. I mean they have the SECOND best record in the AL, that's ridiculous.

that was flat out embarrassing defense by Ole Miss, a competent player could've broken that up.

Yeah if the A's make the playoffs I think they win it all this year. Just too hot to stop, like the 2011 Cardinals.

Signing big money contracts is exactly how you get old and tied down by money. I'm not sure I'm seeing your point?

I get it tho... Hamilton is the star player, he's the guy that gets the conversation and would be missed if the Rangers just let him walk for nothing. But I think the Rangers anchor is honestly Adrian Beltre. He's been the most consistant, he has provided offense all year long. His defense has been great all season, and he protects the man we're discussing giving a max deal to every night in the lineup.

What has Hamilton done that makes him worth losing 3 key major league ready players? That's the part I'm not getting...

They have to replace Feldman, perhaps with Perez. I don't even want him in the bullpen. Don't know what's wrong with him but he's had all season to get it figured out and he isn't. Everytime the team gets alittle momentum going here comes Feldman's day and the mo stops. They don't need his "services" in the playoffs if they want to go far.

They signed Colby Lewis to a 1 year $2M extension. He will be with the club again next season. Considering he is coming off injury, this is a probably a good signing. They will get him quite a bit cheaper for next season.

Get double the production of players in one lineup spot. We have young players ready to come up. Don't understand why we'd lock up 3 old guys.
