More like, "Don't worry, we'll have a paycheck, a McDonalds happy meal and a blue ribbon for you after the game. Everyone's a champion".
No, not really.

You sound like a hater who hates the haters and in some twisted way have admitted your self hate.
Jimmy Johnson did the same thing ........
They are winning with a guy that was a back-up, who is now starting because RG3 sucked so bad...
Staying afloat means in playoff competition. Your simply trying to absolve this team of losing every game because Romo isn't here, which is utterly stupid. There are plenty of QBs that took over and won enough games. Buerlein took us into the playoffs after Troy Aikman went down. Hostetler won the SB. The example you 'refuted' with Cassell was a QB who started in the beginning of the year, because Brady went down. He wasn't declared a starter because he beat Brady in camp.
Weeden was a starter, drafted first round and Cassell also started and was not 'off the street'. They haven't won and Cousins has won 50% of their games.
NONE of these QBs were off the street...
WE HAVEN'T WON A SINGLE GAME. Hell, even Kitna won us some games despite being like 100 years old.
I know it is silly and irrational for it to bother me so much but when he is doing it after a bad play I just want to smack the freckles off his face and yell... STOP IT
Please, please, don't even attempt to compare the two. Jimmy clapped, but he also put the fear of God in the players and held them accountable. He cut the backup running back after fumbling twice is a meaningless last game of the season right before the playoffs. That's accountability, not worthless clapping.
Held them countable for what? His players were crazy off the field and the only players he punished for on the field stuff were backups.
And he did not have to deal with a salary cap and a over the top players union.
Get out of here with this bullcrap.
It would be cool if "The Rant Zone" could be renamed "The Ginger Clap Zone"

Really? Cutting a guy who sucked and they proved could not win with was a "bold" move? Wow, I love Jimmy but the story is a piece of JJ folklore that needs to be deep-sixed.

You obviously can't handle the truth. Johnson left Irving's *** in Dallas when he was late for a flight. He left Aikman's *** at the stadium when he was doing interviews and didn't get on the bus. He cut players that needed to be cut. And guess what???? He freaking WON football games!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that's the bottom line!
Jimmy did that to send a message to other players and light a fire under them.
Curvin Richards was a draftee, 4th rounder from the previous year, and the only back-up Emmitt had at the time. Cutting him was bold enough to get everybody focused on the playoffs. They hadnt won anything when that happened.
So kind of like cutting Coleman who was about as productive as the great Curvin Richards? A guy who never got a job anywhere else again.
