Bro, you have to pass 81.59290250505 % of the time and run 48.809010202% of the time to win. Its a proven fact!

Would you agree that there's something to be said for being determined to stick with it even when it appears as though it's just not your day? Take it from an olineman, those guys up front absolutely love to run block versus the alternative. We could have had some breakthroughs yesterday. Just a thought.

These guys just dont get a push more often than not though. Its too much feast or famine again with the run game, and thats why they dont stick with it.

The other issue is the top 2 backs are clearly far less than 100%

I watched the game and their was no commitment to the run after the 1st drive. why not try a screen to Felix to slow down the Packers pass rush?

Before falling behind 10-0, we had 12 first downs.

We ran the ball six times, and passed it six times.

As far as a screen to Felix, I'd like to see that more as well, although I thought we did run it and they stopped us.

For the first time all season, I'm in favor of having Choice be our main back come Sunday.

I'd like to see that underneath screen to Ogletree thrown more often (accurately).

You realize that almost half of those plays came in the last 10 minutes or so of the game right? We had only about 30 plays prior to Romo's fumble, so it wasn't so lopsided. But after we were down 17-0, it was pretty strictly pass, and for good reason.

The reason we had so few runs is because we went 3 and out for over 2 full quarters.

Post of the day. Thank you.

It was only one game this yr, but when Choice got the bulk of the carries vs Denver, he didnt do anything.

Not saying that makes him lousy or anything because he's clearly proven he can be a productive player, but I think they keep rolling Barber and Jones out there for a reason.

You don't see much of anything David. And the non-existent run blocking went hand in hand with the non-existent run. Gee no run blocking cause the run was not being called???

Clueless!!! Both you and Garrett...:yousuck: :stop:  :splat: :nono:

That four game or so stretch against major competition at the end of last season was not a fluke. Most RBs find it difficult to gain a rhythm when being run out for a play here and a play there. Let Choice get into a rhythm and he'll serve us nicely. I'll stake my reputation on it (what little I have here...lol).

So then it doesn't seem to any of you as though we may have abandoned the run a little too early in the game?

If you mean 10 min. to go down 17-0, then no, I don't think that's too early at all.

I think we went away from it way earlier than that.

Green Bay does rank 5th in fewest rushing yards allowed per game, and 3rd in fewest yds per attempt per game.

This is updated through the games yesterday, but they were ranked pretty high before our game too. They are also tied for 3rd fewest rushing tds allowed (3) They are also 5th in fewest first downs allowed rushing.

Since I'm sure they saw evidence of this on game tapes, and knowing also that we've been struggling to run the ball consistently and 2 of our top 3 backs were hurt, its not surprising they thought it would be alot easier to pass more to win this game. Especially in light of the fact that Romo had been playing so well.

"Red, I'm mighty impressed that you can draw Snoopy free hand, but can we please get back to the game?"

All good points David. My thought is this... Let's say we're the coaches and play armchair for a minute. Even knowing how well they rank, if I have confidence in my running game (which just imo should have been 60% Choice, 20% Felix, & 20% MB3), I am going to tell my offense all week long that we're going to jam it down their throats. I would instill the necessary confidence in them through extreme game study and motivation to place them in the mindset that it's going to be one of those days. I wouldn't just say "oh they're stout against the run it looks like we need to pass more". I could be wrong but that's just my thought. You challenge them because if you do so and make some strides you'll break their will.

Part of the reason i was so optimistic in the offseason was because we were told this team would focus more on the running game and the two TE set. I thought we were going to run the damn ball. But Garrett has decided to do something else with the talent. Why Choice sits on the bench...is beyond dumb.

Every game i sit and yell...“run the freakin ball Garrett!”. The members of The Garrett Jock Sniffers Club don’t see it, i know everyone else does. Wade needs to take over, although he won’t overstep those boundaries.

Let's keep it civil sir. Thanks. :D :p: ;)
