As far as morgan goes...he has that every life is precious mantra going (not the undead of course) where as Carol seems to think that any life is ok to take if it puts her group into danger.

Kind of interesting dichotomy those two will play out. Hence the ending where he is walking one way, she is walking the other and they barely acknowledge each other.

That's where the show gets a bit unrealistic. A woman would always value life much more than a man and be less apt to kill.

Just three off the top of my head who would argue otherwise.

In my opinion, the show is more realistic that your perceptions. In the everyday nonconflicted world, women (in general) would lend towards a tend-and-befriend philosophy, seeking less violent resolutions ensuring protection for children, mates and accepted associates. In the fictional world of The Walking Dead, people's actions are dedicated to survival every single waking moment. Resources are extremely limited and personal/group security is threatened constantly.

She would indiscriminately kill anyone including those of her group if she was a serial killer ( @BrAinPaiNt :p ). Carol values the lives of everyone in her social dynamic group because they are essential to resource gathering and security while maintaining an emotional constant for her. She would kill anyone threatening her environment. I believe her character would be more typical of women existing in such a world than atypical. Genetics may encourage more or less personal empathy but not stupidity necessarily.

Morgan needs to come around. As we saw with Rick, anytime you choose humanity it bites you in the butt. In TWD you can't choose life in general over the survival of the group. Not to mention any character that becomes the moral compass (Dale, Hershel) dies.

Fixed.

Dale disemboweled alive.

Hershel decapitated alive.

I'm afraid to guess how they might write Morgan out of the show. Of course, a wolf chopping him to pieces might be a realistic conclusion.

Methinks that Morgan's decision will come back to haunt the group down the road. I'm liking the season so far, good flow in both episodes.

If anything Carol may be the most level-headed person on the show.

She rationally determines what the level of threat is to group and takes action that matches the circumstances. Rick, Morgan, Abe are much more likely to over-state or under-state the threat and sometimes results in an action that doesn't match the circumstances.

For the most part she leaves the emotion out of it. She sees, she judges, she acts and that is it. Actually the most sadness of emotion she showed in a long time was when she sat down and you saw a tear roll out.

Of course there's no Daryl in the graphic novel. But really there isn't this character either. I know there was a character by the name of Carol in the graphic novel who got killed and some have said that the TV Carol is like the graphic novel Andrea, but I don't see a lot of that. The Carol in the TV show is a unique character.

I missed the first few minutes of season 6 episode 1..... What's the connection from season 5 finale?

Morgan indirectly leads The Wolves to Alexandria because he refused to close the kill on them last season.

...and....when Daryl and Aaron where out recruiting new people and got trapped in the Wolves snare, before Morgan helped them get free, Aaron left his backpack that contained pictures of the town and the walls...he later found the backpack after killing one of the wolves.

it doesn't take a stephen king wanna be to see what was setup in that scene.

1) morgan doesn't like to kill
2) there is more to the one he talked to than we've seen so far as illustrated by the only real "communication" had with the group
3) they were already in the area, morgan didn't lead anyone anywhere

carol - she's kinda annoying to me but i can get where she's coming from. the tear thing showed she's not lost yet, just turned off everything not "practical" in survival these days.

Thanks guys. My bad.

I was referring to:

1. the thousands of dead in the rocks, the trucks holding them back.
2. And the dead being led down the road away from community

That's what I'm looking for?
