Yea I guess its Zeke's fault that one of his ex girlfriends turned out to be crazy. Unless you have some info to share that says otherwise? Feel free to share...
Otherwise based of the widely known public information including the police report Zeke is a victim here.

Oh yea....I forgot he was guilty of being a bar that one night...That's all he did that night..Pro Football players should know that they have to home before the street light come on...

I think your setting yourself up for disappointment.

Plus your wanting to place this all on the league. It's not like they manufactured all of these incidents nor the factors Jerry presents .

If I'm representing the rest of the league I'm sending a message to Zeke, Jerry and the rest of the league that with revenue dipping and all surrounding the negative culture in the NFL the leash has been shortened .

No, I want fairness.

I know Zeke is heading toward a suspension eventually with all the nonsense he's pulling. But that doesn't mean he should be suspended for this.

There's really nothing here at all to act on when you look at it through objective eyes.

Sounds like you too, have already convicted him for whatever made up reasons there are.
And yes, I would not put it past Friel and Mara to invent things, even if paying off people to sway the opinions.

The league's go-to move now seems to be "destroying evidence on a cellphone."

I'd like to see the trash on Roger Goodell's cellphone he'd want nobody to see.

That would be laughable and scary at the same time.

Who knows what type of shady, backyard deals are continuously made.

Goodell has to react on the leagues , the networks, sponsors behalf and all which can be effected monetarily not just some Cowboy fans who feel it's an unjust decision .

Let us remember, Friel admitted to having a "Giants shrine" in her home.

That is who is conducting this investigation.

Jerry has absolutely nothing to do with this. If they suspend Zeke he will appeal. What's the NFL going to say then? He should be suspended because we don't like what the owner said? I'm sure that'll fly with an actual judge. Also, Goodell better remember why he still has a job in the first place. Jerry is a big part of that. He's probably lost the support of Kraft. He'll end up losing Jones to over this if they actually suspend Zeke.

Anyone else find it odd the league brought in a group of police officers to review the case the last week or so to see what they think?
It sounds like Goodell and his front office hit squad are the ones displaying conduct detrimental to the league.
The owner have to see that overreaching investigations do more harm to the league and the image of the league than if they would have made a statement a year ago after the police report was released that would have made this go away.
Now they are putting a giant target on the backs on every player in the league which will just result in more opportunistic people threatening players with false accusations...Insanity..

If they suspend him, every player in the NFL is suddenly under great threat of being blackmailed endlessly.

If all it takes is a false allegation, they're cooked.

The over-policing is a major factor in those revenue losses, though.

Fans want to watch their favorite players and favorite teams (at full strength). They don't want to see 5 guys from every team being suspended all the time.

Fix that, you go a long way in fixing the league as a whole.

Are you the league source that leaked this info to Carter???

No, I'm just preparing for the decision and looking to why it's being made. Looking outside the Cowboy realm . I'm not sure all Cowboy fans are able to seperate their fandom from what is in the best interest of the NFL, the networks , their sponsors and all related. The image of the NFL is at stake not just Zeke or the Cowboys season.

Only the 1% who place themselves out there with poor decisions.

Zeke obviously has some growing up to do and making better choices.

As long as the NFL image and revenue is at stake the bubble these players live in has just been inflated .

Today, right? Surely, no later than tomorrow. This is way past the point of absurdity.

It's time for the NFL to announce what, if any, suspension is going to be given to Zeke Elliott. The team needs to know so it can prepare. Zeke needs to know so he can contemplate his appeal.

More than a year, and nothing? The NFL should be investigated for its colossally inept ability to conduct an investigation.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm a bit torn. If he was suspended today and he appealed, then Goodell could perhaps hear that appeal before the start of the season and still keep Zeke out of the Giants game. (This, I'm convinced, is the Mara's plan working in the background.)

However, if the league continues to wait, that appeal hearing won't be scheduled until after Week 1, and the Giants will get a lathered-up and pissed-off Zeke to start the season.

Bottom line, there simply isn't enough here to suspend a player over. I think the league has cornered itself with that reality, and they don't know what to do. They want to suspend, but they know how weak their case is, and it could set a dangerous precedent for future CBA negotiations.

What a joke.
Kind of like digging up everything possible to find Russian collusion, but after 7 months still nothing.
So, start looking for anything possible (even completely unrelated stuff) that you can find.:muttley:

We'll see but I'd say the NFL is concerned about losing these fringe fans and the effects it has on revenue.

We can fix it by booting these problem players out of the league. Why are we protecting this 1% again?

If you don't think Jerry's culture and rhetoric aren't a player in this that's your choice but then you might not be able to fully grasp the decision and what went into it.

I'm expecting 6 games and appealed down to 2 or 4 games.

Obviously a separate topic/issue but the team does need to be address it which is sounds like they have. Or least have started having conversations with Zeke.
