Titans trade #1 pick to Rams

They got a sick team and all they needed was a QB and they just went up for a bigtime playmaker at that position.

They are going to play tough D, run it down peoples throats with Gurley, and have a playmaker at QB.

And that's the other other thing .... if Wentz turns out to be the guy, the Rams are going to be an NFC superpower, along with the Panthers and Seattle probably still being good for a long time.

Google searches saying that it's for Wentz...

Sad day fellas.

Our draft just blew up.

I think it will go

1. Wentz

2, Ramsey

3. ????

4. Bosa

I hope we trade down now but it looks like San Fran will have Goff fall in their lap.

If LA goes Wentz then I don't think Goff will fall to 7.

I'd say we should just go Tunsil. But we already have a LT. One of the best there is.

I still think Ramsey goes to SD. So we'll be left with Tunsil, Bosa, Buckner, Elliot, Hargreaves and Lynch. Ugh. I love Elliot but there is no way the team goes rb at 4. So let's say we like the rest of the guys equally. As mentioned, who the heck is trading to 4 for Tunsil- when Conklin and Stanley are the alternatives?

We'll be stuck. On one hand, no one wants to trade with us. On the other hand, the team's disregard for the running back position precludes taking the best player and best fit available

In a couple of years, we can invent a new formation with 9 linemen and no quarterback. :)

How do you get beat out to the top pick from #15 when you have Collins to deal?

Because our moron owner doesn't prioritize the position. The need isn't glaring yet. So he doesn't see it. We can just develop a complete mental midget like Prescott to be ready after Romo plays another half a decade.

We had a shot here. We blew it. The pick at 4 will do absolutely nothing to change the future with no QB.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. The team researches bargains (dak, Jones), tells itself there is value in them, and therefore downgrades the higher rated players.

The Rams will be stupid to start Wentz right away, he needs a year at least to get better.

"As many are already saying, the Titans could do 15, 43, and 45 to Dallas to get back to 4 and keep next years extra #1. #Tunsil"

That would be interesting

Comes down to would the Titans have traded the #1 pick to us for #4, next year's #1 and two third rounders? I would say they probably would have.

I don't think the titans traded down to give up 3 picks for a player, they want to improve their roster.

I'm thinking Wentz. Type of football player that Jeff Fisher likes. The similarities are pretty close to McNair...small school QB that lit it up. Big guy that can run.

YR

I think it's Wentz also. I think he likes the bigger, stronger, prototypical type QB. If you look at his history, he had McMahon in Chicago but only for a short time. When Fisher went to Philly, he had Jaworski for a season but then Had Randal Cunningham who was a big Athletic guy. When he went to the Rams in 91, they had Jim Everett. Everett was another big QB but not nearly as athletic, but Fisher was only there for a year. When he went to San Fran in 92, he had Steve Young, another big Athletic QB. Then he went to Houston in 1994 where he drafted McNair in 95. Fish went to the Rams in 2012, where he inherited Bradford but still, Bradford was a big athletic guy. He just couldn't stay healthy. He traded for Foles, another big athletic QB.

I think it's Wentz as well.

Nick Foles.

LOL.

Geezus, people.

QBs are hard to come by and we need a backup..

That is why some of us were desperate to get Wentz who is a legit prospect..

Foles is a heck of a backup.

NFL QBs are terrible for the most part so getting a guy like Foles to backup would
Be nice.

Wentz is built like a man.. Not all stringy and scrawny like Goff..

So of course Wentz will be the guy a Jeff Fisher team prefers.

Foles is not a heck of a backup. He stinks. People put way too much emphasis on that one season where he looked god like in Chip Kelly's system. He then plummeted back to earth once defenses started to figure out Kelly's offense.

He also would be a backup carrying a $13MM cap hit next year given his current contract. He's under no obligation to redo his deal.

So essentially there isn't one shred of logical thinking that would suggest Foles would be a great backup for us. He's a crappy QB who also has the great distinction of being severely overpaid.
