What we all also "get" is the constant struggle of you and bknight to try to rally to defend this terrible deal with "hurries" and then an attempted qualifier on just how much he's overpaid, as if it's up to either of you to give everyone else the exact figures.

And I've honestly grown tired of the constant misportrayal of my intentions. I've stated ad nauseum that I hate the contract not the player. He's a round peg in a square hole, miscast in a 4-3 defense. But he's an expensive mistake and a miscalculated contract that due solely to restructuring, they can't get out of.

Hurries is a stat that has a real world analog that is easy to interpret. It's when you force a QB to throw early. Hit is even more easy to interpret.

Compare and contrast with your central argument about how he doesn't have a starting job which is hogwash considering he started the past two seasons. For all you know it could end up with Irving or Collins once again going to the bench.

And you can be tired all you like but you make characterizations of the player taking moneybags and tell us how the player doesn't have a starting spot.

As for the contract he would easily make $8m on the FA market given the scarcity of DL talent. That is being conservative as he could get more. He is overpaid but he is not as overpaid as you put on. He is a better DL and Carr was a DB for example.

I think Crawford has underperformed his contract significantly. I thought the extension of Crawford was a good idea at the time but it hasn't worked out. I thought it would be a value contract when it was signed.

Having said that, Crawford has been about as useful as a pimple on a fat mans ***. It's funny how some can point to Romo, Lee or even Dez as being injury prone abut not Crawford. All of those guys were at least awesome at one time. What has Crawford been? Potential and that's all.

Our only hope is that it has been the injuries holding g him back and not ability. This restructuring **** is for the birds too except in exceptional circumstances.

You are entitled to your opinion but have no rationale basis for it but your bias. He is $2-3m overpaid if you go by AAV. I don't think that is huge and given the SB is a sunk cost his salary is fine.

Then you compare games started. All players get hurt but it's injuries that make you miss games.

His salary this season is guaranteed. I will never understand why people whinge about sunk costs.

Will start the season on ir or will miss at least 4 games. You can bank on it.

You cannot escape injuries or the money tied up by them. All teams have that problem. At least he didn't cost what Romo cost. Some ignored or forgot about it due to the extraordinary play of the backup last year. The year before was harder to swallow because we sucked at backup QB so badly.

The guy has played DL with bad shoulders which is next to impossible to do. He's so strong he performed 'ok' injured. He likely will never return to 100% preinjury although I suppose it is possible to be even better with the resources he has at his disposal. But he will be better than the previous two years by far.

He was useless last year with the same situation. I'd say save him for the end of the year.

Sure, push the better players to the bench to justify a bad contract, make matter worse.

Ideally, he doesn't. Collins is better at the 3T, he proved that despite no training camp. Do you want to replace him?

And Irving was dominant given the limited snaps he received too. Do you want Crawford as this team starting SDE? I sure don't.

That's simply not true at all, especially for a guy coming off of yet another shoulder surgery. A baseless claim.

He is overpaid but he is not as overpaid as you put on.

Who made you the judge on that?

He is a better DL and Carr was a DB for example.

Your opinion is duly noted.

I thought you were tired of making hysterical arguments about TCrawford

He's overpaid but whatever.

I'm just worried about his injuries. His shoulders seem to get beat up pretty good in the trenches.

This starting stuff needs to be toned down IMO. We need a rotation. He's one of the best 8-10 DL IMO. Let's see how the guy does post repair.

Not as long as he continues to be grossly overpaid. As long as that's the case, you can count on me.
And I'm sure I can't count on you as well.

That's great. "He's one of the best 8-10 DL" and he's getting paid a guaranteed salary of over $7 million while come off of consecutive shoulder surgeries.

Wait, you meant "one of the 8-10 best" on the Cowboys team, right?
