24 million for 3 years with 16 guaranteed is not cheap for this player.
it's pretty decent for danny. What did u expect that Jackson would get paid. How much cheaper. You don't know much

Jackson Continues Meeting With Commanders
Adam Schefter discusses the 49ers' interest level in DeSean Jackson if he doesn't sign with the Commanders.
The Washington Commanders and wide receiver DeSean Jackson appear to be moving closer to an agreement on a contract, sources told ESPN.
Jackson arrived in northern Virginia on Monday night and dined with members of the Commanders coaching staff, including coach Jay Gruden. He later went to a club with current Commanders cornerback DeAngelo Hall and wide receiver Pierre Garcon. Both players have publicly stated their desire for Jackson to join the Commanders, as has quarterback Robert Griffin III.
The Eagles came to the realization that releasing DeSean Jackson was a case of addition by subtraction, writes Ashley Fox.
"Very exciting player. Determined to show he is the best and hungry to win. My kinda guy," Griffin told ESPN's Britt McHenry.
Jackson met with the Commanders at their facility Tuesday.
The sides have yet to discuss contract numbers, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The Philadelphia Eagles released Jackson on Friday, and the Commanders were the first team to schedule a visit with him. No other visits, however, have been announced. However, the San Francisco 49ers have a "real but guarded" interest Jackson, according to a league source.

Meh, just play physical with Jackson. Press and hit him off his break--and he get frustrated and disappears. You just don't want to play him off 15 yards.

I thought it was fair. Nothing more or less. No reason for insults
Wait....so where are all the "OMG OVERPAID AGAIN" comments? Can someone legitimately let a Commanders fan know when the last time we overpaid for a player? Haynesworth? 6 years ago?
You have a point. Our db's take alot of heat but I think we've got 4 really good corners. Teams are typically not going to spread us out and pick us apart.

Come on. A Pro Bowler who had 1300 yards and had the most 1st downs in the NFL? That's a very nice deal. I mean Laurent Robinson signed a 5 year 32 million dollar deal with 15 million guaranteed two seasons ago. Eric Decker got 15 million guaranteed. Hate the Deadskins. I'm with you there. I was hoping they would overpay here but they didn't. They got him on a very favorable deal. Teams really must've bought into the "gang allegations" because his market was a lot lower than I expected.
Compared to the Decker and especially the Robinson deal, it was favorable.
I think for DJax, the deal was not a "steal" which was what I was originally addressing. I see him as very good, but not dominating. I also think that Kelly's offense worked well for him. Not here to take away from Jackson and the Commanders deserve credit here. I just personally didn't think they stole him.
Hatcher, LOL. And don't forget your namesake.
Okay, I can't really argue with this. You're entitled to that. But man......I remember how people said we wouldn't have the "money" to sign him and Dez.
I will say this. Desean in a year will be crying about how he wants a new contract. I guarantee it.
I think so too. The deal is not what it seems to be. 16 mil guaranteed is an all in figure. He's going to pocket that and want more next year or before year 3 begins.
