Romo's just laughing to himself thinking "I could name 300 times you've said you were open when you weren't, but I'm sure you'll never bring that up in front of the team."
Could. Well said, IR.

Watching game video in a team setting, any player could stand up and point out a mistake made by another player on just about every play.

Could.

I'm not saying Romo doesn't need to snap out of it and be kicked firmly in the rear, but don't you think TO screaming in his ear about how open he is is pretty much a never ending nightmare he has to endure 24/7/365? So this one time TO was right in the film room and makes a point to call out Romo in front of the entire team in the film sessions to prove some point (making Romo look bad in front of his teammates, the same teammates who are probably leaking that they're upset about everything that Romo supposedly gets away with), and Romo's just laughing to himself thinking "I could name 300 times you've said you were open when you weren't, but I'm sure you'll never bring that up in front of the team." The same exact way McNabb was just laughing at Owens when Owens was trailing him and berating him on the sidelines in Philly.

Obviously, Romo's body language suggests someone who is just beaten down and defeated by the whole situation, just like McNabb and Garcia were beaten down by it, to the point where he's pretty much just sick and apathetic to it all. Which is quite remarkable considering this is a guy who cut his teeth in the league with mean ole grouchy Parcells chewing his butt 24/7 to purposely groom him for the emotional grind it takes to be a QB in the NFL, coaching tactics that broke weaker QBs like Hutchinson and Henson, and yet Romo never lost his smile or charisma and would even give the jabs back to Parcells while he was being tested. But he's been emotionally and spiritually defeated under the supposedly more "player friendly" coaching environment. It's a testament to how toxic, depressing and defeating the environment in the lockerroom has to be right now. The former gym rat who had to be kicked out of the facilities and would read biographies on football history in his free time doesn't even want to show up for work.

Nice post.

:laugh2: Maybe the media would not have followed him there? Let me ask you was it an issue because he went to Cabo say instead of Burlington Wis. or is it the fact the media reported it?

Cabo over Burlington.

Just didn't seem right to me.

Do I think we lost because of it?

No.

Just bugs me.

Did Owens ever have problems with Steve Young? We know about problems with Garcia, McNabb, Bledsoe and apparently now Romo.

Of that group, (IMO), only Young is the only one that really showed 100% effort and fire and commanded respect (sorta like Warner's "stare")
I've heard people with the 49ers say that TO became a totally different person after he made the great TD to beat - I think it was - GB in the playoffs after the 1999 season. If I remember correctly, that was on the final play of the game. Again, if memory serves, that was also Steve Young's final season.

Garcia and McNabb weren't giving 100%?

Garcia has - IMO - given an exemplary effort every where he's been. He's not nearly as talented as dozens of guys who've been in the league during his career, but has survived and sometimes thrived in perhaps the toughest job in sports.

And McNabb, no matter how much we make fun of him, has been an excellent QB for the most part. He has his flaws, but no moreso than TO himself. McNabb wins a SB in the next few years, and he'll join TO in the Hall of Fame.

I am not sure if anyone has talked about this, but Ed Werder was on with galloway at 5 and he said that romo and garret already had a meeting to clear the air between the two of them, they had it after the eagles game I guess.

Apparently ed said he was told garret and romo went in and watched game film together and garret and romo explained themselves to each other and garret pointed out the gameplan and the safeguards as ed said that were in place and that romo missed some calls.

So it is nice to know that romo and garret have worked things out.

Did owens say he wants out? Oh please tell me he did. Pretty please with a cheery on top!

hehehe... no Dave he did not.. but would not blame him for wanting off this loser organization.

We all know that you just want TO off the team... nothing else matters for you.

Because I think that is the start to get things repaired. Never liked the signing to begin with. It's turning out to end up exactly as I and some others thought it would.

can't wait for him to be gone.

And don't tease me like that agin you, you.:)

Thanks for that information.

I wasn't really worried about those two hashing things out though. I think both of them share the exact same goals. I think they both want to win, and that's it. So they were seeing two different things, and the fact that they can talk about it and look from the other's perspective is a good thing.

Appreciate the info thanks.
I would expect nothing less from either of these men. Sometimes I think in the heat of a bad loss comments should not be made immediatly after a game but more so the next day when cooler heads prevail.

On another note where is the integrity of some of these journalists? We now have Werder who claims to have two sources & next thing we know we now have another journalist doing the one upmanship & he has five.

I am not saying there are not issues at all but source to source is crap talk & only perpetuating a very difficult situation & taking no responsability for the spin they are helping to create. It's rediculous at best. Many careers are being deystroyed with only asumptions, & poor reporting & no definate facts only hear say from a source.
Its time to name names & be accountable for naming them too. Cowards approach is source to source. If you want to clean it up be that man.

Wonder how many times Randy Moss thought he was covered. Or Irvin, or Rice, or Pearson, or any other wr worth their salt...

I'm guessing.....never.

Probably the best damn news I have heard in well over a month.

Jesus. Only took THE END OF THE SEASON to get it done.

Better late than never I suppose.

Classic movie. I've seen that movie so many times I can practically recite it line for line. :)

That's sounds like good news ... in other words, no one will accuse Werder of making this up.
