Still waiting for our residence OL expect ot chime in.
Read somewhere that Floyd wasn't considered a starter in Minnesota and Frazier was quoted as saying he was at the end of their DT rotation.
Yes or no?
Why or why not?
This is an easy question to answer for me. I'm just interested in hearing what other fans think about Frederick .
Yes, word is that Baltimore would have taken him. It would have been proclaimed a genius pick by the Ravens and Cowboy fans would be blaming/hating Jerry for not taking him.
Do I think a quality NFL starting center is worth a 1st round pick? Sure.
Whether he's quality or not is yet to be determined, I'm not making any proclamations based on 2 preseason games, but so far, so good.
A lot of people will probably tie Williams to the Frederick pick, but I think Frederick needs to stand on his own.
Other recent 1st round centers were the Pouncey brothers and I don't see those guys being in a higher class than Frederick.
Yes.
It was a bad draft class. The better options were to go the conservative route and to draft positions like guard and center. Other teams thought the same thing with the inordinate amount of guards being drafted. By drafting him we got a guy that could play either center or guard immediately which allowed us some flexibility if other linemen got injured. He fits the scheme as well.

Ah railed agin Frederick the giant. At the time (and I had never heard of him and I doubt that many of yew had either) the draft board "experts" had him in the 3rd round or late 2nd.
Ah figured it was just Jerra being Jerra and wanting to seem like he know football and personnel.
Time will tell.
I hope Frederick proves me wrong. But all indications (now) are that Frederick could have been had in the 3rd round and we could have picked immediate hep for old man Kiffin.
Again, what is done is done. Let us all rally behind Frederick's big behind.
