You can make all the polls that you want. Fans do not make team decisions. Romo will be the starter.

Romo is the better QB until proven otherwise and receives the vote. A game manager on pace for 13 TD passes being carried by the number one rushing offense doesn't equal proven otherwise.

This is a lot more of a profound decision than you guys think it is and not because of who is right and who is wrong. Either QB could have success and there is merit to both QBs running the team.

You can't ignore the teams viewpoint in whether to supplant Dak with Romo. The team could easily be divided on this issue the same way that the board here is divided. That could be bad. You also don't want to shake the rookie or piss him off and break the streak of what you have going.

I personally would delay Romo's return for a week or two and see if Dak's play helps you make the call. Romo gets healthier and gets the rust off before he goes back in. Of Dak falters against Green Bay or Philly then you have a natural reason to bring Romo back in.

If Dak wins against Green Bay and Philly, I really don't know how you pull him out at that point. He would be 6 and 1 having beaten 3 relatively strong teams and 6 in a row.

Granted part of the reason we are winning is not Dak and Romo might be able to do even more. But the flip side is that with Romo he is likely to piss a game off with unnecessary risks. The one thing that has bothered me about Romo is his tendency to go for a 30 yard pass on 3rd and 3. It's great if you hit it, but it is a drive ender if he misses it. Dak would get the 3 and move the chains. Both have their place but moving the chains is what wins games and scored points.

Of course Romo should start. He's simply better at the moment IF he's still what he was when he gets healthy.

The team isn't going to fall apart when the change is made.

In fact, I think Zeke will just go off completely for huge yardage with Romo. Teams will have to back off the 8-man fronts, and it'll be easy pickings.

a perfect season to do it like peyton manning last year. leave the young'un in until he stumbles. then if romo is healthy, trot him out there all the way to the super bowl

i don't think there is anything more to gain starting romo over dak, if we keep winning. what's the difference who plays? let dak win and get experience until he doesn't, then let romo do the rest

Sorry, I am old, I dont turn my back on the people that got me where I am..
And where are you exactly? Two playoff wins in 10 years as a starter? Heartache? Pain? Laughing stock? Some of you romo to start advocates sound like battered wives... just wanting more abuse ...

If Dak can beat the Packers continue to start him. This game will be a major test for him. If he starts to slump
Then start Tony.

Well, I am currently seeing my favorite team looking like it should be in the playoffs. This offense was built with Tony in mind. I would like to see what he will do with it. I am no wife, battered or otherwise. I am someone who believes in loyalty. The team is not a laughing stock and wasnt a laughing stock last time Romo was healthy enough to end a season. The only reason we didnt advance further then was being robbed out of a crucial catch.

The only way Romo should get playing time is if Dak gets hurt.

I voted Dak because there are only two options. But I'm on the fence with this game with the Packers being the deciding game for me.
If Dak leads the Cowboys to victory, he should stay. I say this because this game will prove several things to me:

1. A good team/possible playoff team on the road in a hostile environment.
2. A great quarterback. (I'm interested in both whether we can slow Rodgers down with our offense and defense or if Dak could keep up in a shoot-out with the Packers.)
3. Consistency. Will Dak be able to continue his phenomenal consistency against the better teams in their environment.

If we win, I believe Dak should stay. If we lose, but he has a good game, I'd still lean his way but not heavily. If he comes back down to earth, I'd then lean toward Romo.

Either way(s) ... good dilemma.

If we beat the Packers people will just say the same thing again when we play the Eagles.

Last game Romo played in Green Bay
2 TDs
0 Ints
79% completion rate
143.6 QB rating

In a road playoff game at that.
I would not call that struggling tremendously
In fact, as well as Dak has done, he hasn't matched that yet with far worse competition.

I tip my cap to Dak and am very excited about him and his future

But no reason to make stuff up about Romo

And Romo was robbed of a third TD...

Rookie Dak Prescott has knocked my socks off but I am a solid Romo vote. Romo is a coach-on-the-field and, provided he can remain healthy, will wring every last drop of potential from that offense.
