The league announcing a correction that one final trade was made at the deadline, shipping Prescott to the Dontcares for whatever.

Hope this is what year? I love watching this team, and especially the defense, and I now just enjoy the games without expectations. I have zero faith they will win in the playoffs. But I’m happy if they do and obviously hope they do.
For me to take expect playoff success, I’ll need to see less stupid brain farts, less penalties wiping out big plays, much better run defense, and less passive play on contested throws by receivers.

Dangity, I had a butterscotch with bacon donut, called the Elvis on Halloween night.
It was pretty scary, but delicious.
How come you gain 5 lbs of weight when you only eat something that weighs an ounce.....

I'm thinking of relocating to the moon.... i would weigh 34 lbs there....YEAH BABY.......bring on them Bavarian creme donuts.

FYI....divide your weight by 6 and you get your moon weight....LOL......

They may make the playoffs which is something I didn’t think would happen. Maybe they play Atlanta in the first game and lose

For the team to actually play well in all three phases of the game in the playoffs.

Nothing would make me believe. That's what a quarter-century of ineptitude does.
That’s understandable, but the Cowboys have had a good enough team to be the #1 seed in the NFC at least twice in recent memory. The problem was always no freaking defense when the going got tough in the playoffs. We have a defense, one that isn’t perfect, but one that I believe keep all games close and get off the field in the fourth quarter, not giving up the lead to defeat.

I definitely believe it could happen this year regardless of how the next couple games go. There’s a lot of season left to play, and I don’t believe we have to win our division to be in the NFC championship game.

6-2 at the bye. 5 of those games with a backup quarterback. 9 games left in the season. 26 years of frustration playing into your beliefs.

What would it take for you to drop the caution flag and allow yourself to hope that this is the year? Beating Green Bay at Lambeau? Following that up with a win in Minnesota? Making that 5 wins in a row by beating the G-Men on Thanksgiving? Or maybe you are hardcore and need to see a victory in the playoffs or maybe 2?

I, myself, need them to beat GB and Minnesota on the road with the offense throwing up 30+ points in those wins. I believe if the offense can score 30 points against those teams in their stadiums then we have the complete team it would require to go to the promised land. Another win on Thanksgiving with the ensuing 10 days off to get healthy would be the final nail. Good offense, great defense and good special teams is a recipe for a championship.

What do you need to see to drop the yellow flag?

Well, they have a 6-2 record, losing to the only 2 decent teams they played. The rest they beat were bad or mediocre, or having a bad year. Beating GB ? They are having a bad year. Minny ? Their record is built on beating bad nfc north teams. Minny was crushed by the eagles. They beat the Dolphins but so can many other teams so our beating those 2 teams on the road - a big if - don’t impress me much. I won’t believe until they beat teams like Buffalo, KC, Eagles, 49ers, Ravens, Atlanta, Tennessee. We are a good team against weak teams but this team coached by MM and Kellen Moore, QB’d by Dak, folded like a cheap suit at home against the 49ers last year. That’s who they are until they prove otherwise on the field. I’m old enough to have seen Landry and Jimmy teams win championships - and these guys have not been close. Great post/question by the way :)

When we win our annual Turkey Day game for the first time in forever then I'll believe.

Yep. Been burned too many times. Mainly 2007, 2014, 2016 and then first half of last year. Maybe throw in first part of 2008. Those are the only times where I legit thought we could make noise. All of them ended the same. And 2008 we didn't even make the playoffs with the 44-6 loss to Philly. It's always something with this team when the stage gets big.

Even with the NFC being wide open this year, I still don't fully buy in. Going to have to show me. Get past the divisional round for even one time in the last 26 years and maybe it could change. We at least need to get over that hurdle.

I believe NOW. I didn't say I know I said I believe. I control what I believe in. Win or lose I believe the Dallas Cowboys are the best team in the NFL.

What's so hard to understand ? I really don't get it. I believe until we are eliminated.
