Well I'll say this.....I think what he's done personnel wise has been smart these past two years. I think the coaching hires like Mike Nolan was just stupid. But who knows...maybe hiring Nolan is how we end up with Dan Quinn.

I think a mistake Jerry would've made was to sign a free agent to big money like they were a player away on defense....instead, they signed a few low cost guys like Urban....drafted a few guys....they've effectively rebuilt this defense personnel wise...now its time for the moves and picks to show what they can do.

Our new DC..

If this defense can be middle of the pack (they should) and injuries don't attack like a last year...the needle should be pointed up.

It will. And odds are.....those guys probably don't even get enough playing time to make a impact.....maybe Wright has the most potential to get playing time?

Its really an odd collection of specialty guys. The starters seem set, but its hard to predict what Quinn is going to do with all these guys. I dont think Hill does much, but Gallimore I would expect to play a lot.

Wright I am just not on that wagon yet. I think he stands out because he is 6-4 in the OTAs'. Not to mention that Joseph didnt get much of a chance because of the protocol.

There is a lot of talk with pretty much all the talking heads that Hill might be cut. They could be completely wrong but maybe they got wind of something. Kind of makes sense. He was a Marinelli pet, sucked, still sucks, fell asleep in meetings. He will have to be amazing for Quinn to like him plus he is rehabbing. So it wouldn't shock me if he is gone. I'm sure Quinn wants to see his new toys that he drafted this year over Marinelli flavors of the month. LOL

Next year will be Trysten Hill break out year. He will probably not be much this year but I would keep him around to squeeze as much as possible out of his lazy bones before letting him walk.

Bunch of BS for the most part, most of the pay check collectors have been 86d, and everyone relevant got payed, healthy and motivated...
Tom Brady should be concerned on opening night.

If they are moving away from Lawrence, Elliott, and Jaylon then I would say right direction.

At QB, I would say we will be treading water until Dak elevates his play in the big games.
Zeke had 1 bad year and Lawrence gets hate just because the MUT kids don't see his sack total popping off the chart. Jaylon would be a good example of where this team is headed. When they dump him (if he's bad or average this season) then they might be serious. if they keep him then just keep your expectations low.

That depends. Are we talking about how the Cowboys' decision making, coaching changes, etc. is going?
Or just the team's chances of winning another SB or two or three or four?

If the first, oh yeah, heading up. Got rid of Garrett, Marinelli and some marginal players.

If the second, also heading up. That is assuming they can hang on to T. Smith, Collins, Martin, Cooper, Zeke, Dak and others by good health. Otherwise I'd say treading water.
