Why does the offense look so much different with another QB?

Yeah, that's a hard pill to swallow. I love Martin, but it's crazy to me the running game looked the best when both our All-Pro Guards were out. I think Washington played like crap, agreed. But the offense did move the ball well several times, just couldn't finish.

dumb penalties and loss trick plays costs the points yesterday.... 3rd and 7+ is almost a death sentence for this offense, was before the backup QB started also.

Rush was going all over the place, Dak waits for CD to get open, that is his game. I would not be surprised if Rush was the starter from game one that the teams record would be better than it is.

Or rather, my agenda is to have a QB who is a D reading phenom w/ an NFL caliber arm. Dak has the NFL caliber arm, Rush has the NFL caliber head. You're so busy defending Dak you appear to be blind to anything and everything else.

A good D easily shuts Cooper down because he has a terrible arm. Dan Quinn let Cooper have the short stuff, so Cooper looked more effective. And throwing predominantly short stuff means the ball is gettting out of there really quickly. I mean, this is not rocket science, and if you'll leave your Dak agenda in the trash where it belongs, it would quickly become apparent to you.

If I told you Dak had two arms you'd argue.

Of course it's two different players, but Dak was known for having more athletic abilities than Rush, yet every game we've seen rush in this year, he's been in the pistol??

I'm not trying to make this into a diss Dak thread, I just think there's elements to this offense that seem to work better with Rush in there. The game plan seems much better, the plays seem better. I'm not sure why we don't do these kinds of things with Dak. Please give me your thoughts

Oh, I know what your are saying and most of those catches were spot on. Dak waits to long for CD to get open and it's either over/under thrown or it's an Int. But Rush also went to others more than the chosen one does. Plus he does not dance like a clown before the game. lol

i mean watching that game was hard until the end...it was bad football for 3 quarters then REALLY BAD Football that was exciting..lol..I dont know that i walked away from that game thinking we played good as much as wondering how the hell Wash has thier record...we played better but was it actually good?

Neither Dallas QB impress much…the 1st half of the game was an offensive bore with both defenses and special teams stealing the spotlight. While I thought Rush played better than the previous game there were still inaccurate passes that short-hopped receivers and weren’t on target.
If Washington’s kicker made his kicks and DQ would have gone for the 2pt conversion at the end of the game…this could have been a different outcome perhaps. I don’t know why you wouldn’t put the ball in Daniel’s’ hands, he was effective running the ball the whole game.
The defense was bailed out for sure…how does a defense give up a long TD pass in the waning seconds of the game? Yes…please bring back Zimmer to coordinate the defense next year!

I went through this excercise and compared Dak to other QBs and their favorite targets and its pretty much the same for all of the ones you in the past have expressed love for (Mahomes, Allen, etc. ).

and its turning out its the same for cooper too as CD is his favorite target and he tends to dump off to RBs a lot.

so yeah, you would be very wrong in this case. your comments now and in the past about this topic didn't age very well, because you have hate glasses on and extremley biased in your view, which always leads to wrong conclusions....as usual.

and Rush has a weak arm. that was his draft assessment, why he went UDFA and been his achilles in the NFL. its not a deflection, but facts. if a coach knows this, then the game plan is such not to have him force the ball too far down field and play it safe, with quick throws.

this is not a defense of Dak, which most Dak haters/Rush Lovers tend to do with any not over the top positive comments about Rush...its just knowing Rush and his severe limitations.
