I typed too fast as usual, I meant put them together at the award show. And leave the comics out of it.I thought you did stand up? Why would you want these people in the audience?

She's a total phony. If she didn't give a crap what anyone thought about her bald head, she wouldn't have been sensitive about that joke. She could have laughed it off. Will Smith should have been arrested right in the middle of the show and should have been made ineligible for his Oscar. You don't get to haul off and hit someone just because you don't like what they said. If any of us had done that, we would have been arrested. Smith shouldn't get off the hook just because he's a rich celebrity. If I had been running the show, he would have been apprehended and taken out in handcuffs.
You're more sensitive about his slap then he was about the joke.
Maybe you should light a candle and start a bubble bath, relax a little.
I imagine she already had it out for Chris since Chris made some jokes about her for starting that # a few years back. It's crazy how she and Will got what they wanted at this years Oscars, and did this stupid crap to overshadow everything else.
That entire family is phony. His children are just as bad.
Give me a break. Smith committed a crime. Rock didn't. No one has the right to hit anyone just because they perceive that they were insulted. The Academy was negligent in not calling the cops on this common criminal, Will Smith. Any ordinary person would have been immediately arrested, and Smith should be treated like any ordinary person. If I had been in charge, I would have had the cops come and arrest him, cuffing that sorry worthless trash in front of everyone, and then before he was gone, I would announce that he's disqualified from Oscars, not just that night, but for the next 20 years. Then I would prosecute him to the full extent of the law. He deserves it. Then as head of the Academy, I would make phone calls to every major studio to let them know that if they hire Will Smith any time within the next 20 years, their film will be ineligible for any Academy award. That would effectively blacklist that violent goon. And if I had any pull on what kind of sentence he got for the crime, I would make sure he did time in a maximum security prison for at least 5 years. Then upon release he would have to work community service by working in a place like Burger Hut for at least 10 years at minimum wage. Anything less than total humiliation is unacceptable.
You or I would never get away with the crap he pulled. Smith shouldn't either.

“Things unfolded in a way we could not have anticipated,” the academy said. “While we would like to clarify that Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused, we also recognize we could have handled the situation differently.”
So I guess for the people who still think it was staged...was it still staged?

Consistent with the Academy’s Standards of Conduct, as well as California law, Mr. Smith is being provided at least 15 days’ notice of a vote regarding his violations and sanctions, and the opportunity to be heard beforehand by means of a written response. At the next board meeting on April 18, the Academy may take any disciplinary action, which may include suspension, expulsion, or other sanctions permitted by the Bylaws and Standards of Conduct.
What if Smith gets banned from the Academy?
AMPAS also could contact other parties related to the incident – but Rock won’t be asked to participate. Another topic is whether the police will be involved. The Academy could decide to press charges against Smith, even though Rock declined to do file a police report after being contacted by the LAPD on Sunday night.
With Smith looking at up to six months in jail and a $100,000 fine if found guilty on a misdemeanor charge of assault, Rock actor has up to six months from Sunday’s slapping to change his mind on filing a police report.
I wonder how many people even knew about her condition. To be honest, I didn't really know or care. The short hair never raised any flags. And, Chris Rock didn't poke at the condition, just a bald head. I think some chose to connect the dots. But who knows, I could be way off. But what a cringy & headcase pair.Jada had a golden opportunity to stand out as a beacon of strength to every young woman/man who has to deal with this mild, vanity affecting condition. An image of her beautifully smiling at the reference to another symbol of strength and determination could have been used to encourage confidence and strength in others.
Instead she chose to play the victim. She chose war. She chose to sic her puppy on the man and his words.
It's fascinating how such a blip on the 'big picture' radar can reveal so much about so many. Everyone in that room showed us who they were.
