You impled it to back up your beliefs. I shot it down. You have a lower standard of success than I do .
I did not imply that.

They’ve won 25 games the last 2 years. No SB but that’s not a crap sandwich.

I was replying to the yahoo who said the team was a crap sandwich. You’re just a hater. You haters hate me for a good reason. I expose you.

I'm the one that used the crap sandwich analogy and you don't realize it was me.
The only one you are exposing is yourself. I don't hate you, I pity you.

Can't help myself....I'm just optimistic and I don't get discouraged because I understand how hard it is to win....I will say this, it's fun trying and not giving up! Salud, homers and haters! We're all fans...Go Dak and Jerry! Lol!

If being someone who is always going to be a Cowboys fan and will always support the team (even if I have the occasional criticism) makes me a homer, then count me in.

Life is too short to spend many time on something that brings me more unhappiness than happiness.

I've know too many people who seem to just be miserable with something that they are choosing to do. It's insane and sad actually.
We are fans, we have no control over the outcome at all. Why allow anything you can't control have control over your emotions when its a negative overall experience for you.

I'm 100% happy when we win and even the loses are ok. I watch every game with my 11 and 13 year old sons and even the losses are experiences and memories I'll always cherish.

Exactly, the sport is a game. Yes, it's fun when we win. However, that's really all it is. Football is entertainment. That's why we watch it......that, and it gives me a nice decal for my fursuit.

There was a time when this teams success was determined by Super Bowl victories. Where did those 25 wins get them?

I haven't been a fan long enough to experience those SBs, but I will say that the wins lately have been entertaining. For me, I like what I see being built. I don't know what it will lead to. However, I like the chemistry that this team seems to have. I like the way it's being constructed. I think if we can get a NT, a Lb, and an olineman, this team can be very special this year. Especially if we can get lucky with Bijan Robinson.

why? Why not Dallas? I think all the great sports franchises should hoist high expectations onto the team. If we can't handle that then we need a new team and ownership. Its like Stockholm syndrome around here for 27 years. Its sad. Have many forgotten why the team trains, lifts weights ? If high level winning isn't the end game, what are we then doing?Lets raise expectations as fans and hold the team accountable. Its ok, really.

I mean, I don't really have another team that I'd want to switch to, especially since my suit is literally has Cowboys decals on it. It just wouldn't fit well. Apart from that, I'm not sure how many other teams have that level of expectation. I'd love for us to finally win a Lombardi. I've yet to see it, since becoming a fan. However, I suppose as part of having that, I don't really feel the need to have that expectation. I'd love for us to pull it off, but hey, this is my team regardless.

same here with the last thing u said ^. I'm just sayin, lets not supply the organization with excuses. After the last 27 years, I think its more than reasonable to have very high expectations .

I suppose, but I mean, I am not sure how we'd get a new owner if we need one.

yeah I hear ya

So, the way I see it, I might as well accept it since I can't change it. Besides, as I stated, I do like the players that we've got. This team is being built well lately. I don't know what the height of these players will be in terms of success, but I like our coaching staff and players. I think Jerry has done well this offseason.

Happy for you man! You are a good dude and poster. Enjoy the positivity! I'm more a "tweener" where I try and be positive but there is always something that bothers me or eats at me. Garrett used to do the trick. I used to love Dak and now 50/50. Non playoff wins bothersome . But I keep coming back. I will say I used to be someone who cried in the 70s/80s after tough losses as a kid and then it would ruin my week in the 90s. Now I just go with it. Nothing I can do. Cheers

heres the thing

its ok to be a homer and its ok to be critical when needed

we're supposed to be FANS...its the constant hatred and gleeful expressions when we lose that some of our "fans" and i use that word as loose as i can that make me sick of this board

dont like Dak? cool, but why are you rooting for him to fail? why are you saying other qbs who are clearly worse than him are better?

i love Dak as my QB and tbh if he cant get it done by the end of the 2024 season he should be released......

but coming off back to back 12-5 seasons with a playoff win you would think by looking at this board we havent been to the playoffs in 20 years and some claim us to be as bad as the lions and browns

You keep getting served crap sandwiches and you keep eating them and smiling at the server. There was a time when I lived and breathed blue and silver.
And if I'm a band wagon fan how do you explain that I've never missed a Cowboys game for the last 40 years no matter what their record was?
Love and Devotion for a team .....

I lived in south Florida during the 3-13 and 1-15 seasons. Always wore my Cowboys t-shirts everywhere we went out side of work. And if we worked Saturdays, I wore it there as well.

Thing was, I never really got any negative comments from anyone. And though many Dolphins fans, as well fans from many teams all over. Never any bad comments other than a few jokingly type Dallas sucks, but I had my comebacks as well, all in fun. A few friends always wore their Vikings and Bills as well (before Bills made it to the SB's), and they were faded well worn shirts. No one made any negative comments at all to anyone unless in a joking manor. I never said anything to the Bills fan after the SB's, all he said to me was Dallas has an incredibly good team.
