Yes, he was one of the early Civil Rights leaders along with other great athletes like Bill Russell , Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Muhammad Ali.Wow. What a sad day. Flags should be lowered in his honor. The dude did more for his communities in one day than that one guy who got buried in a gold casket on live TV ever did in his entire life.
