I enjoy the start of the season too (happens once per year even if the squad is terrible). I just enjoy postseason success more than regular season success.
……just like 99% of NFL fans. Surprisingly some just like regular season wins and stats to support their favorite player who can’t get it done in the postseason.

But I’m sure we don’t have any in this forum

We are closer to the SB than a high draft pick. Enjoy the ride. Don’t just wait until the postseason to enjoy the team. Football is awesome.
Yes the 2014 and 2016 Cowboys were some of the most enjoyable Cowboys teams to watch in the regular season. Loved those teams.

he was pretty good in SF, but everybody else sucked. Badazze should have thrown more passes instead of handing the ball to dak. I kind of blame Badazze for both losses.
It was stupid to think he could snap it to himself, get down the field in 14 seconds and snap it to himself again to stop the clock against the Niners

Yeah, I understand the chances of either are slim.

That’s what I, as a fan, want. If you are satisfied enough with a playoff appearance and early exit to feel happy that the team at least was not last place, I don’t think you want a Cowboys’ SB very much as a fan.
I take it in context. If the team gets to the playoffs only to lay an egg, I'm not happy. However, if they get to the NFC Championship and play great, but are just bested by a better team, then I'm not mad at them. The level of competition and talent in the NFL is insanely large.

Trade 1st and 2nd pick and Dak for Drake Maye
From some here, Dak sucks and he's a loser. And our draft position will be in the high 20's, my prediction is in the 30's. So why would a team do that stupid trade? You Anti-Dak/Cowboys Cult members are delusional.

I'm with you.

Revelation 3:15,16: "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth."

I do too but if we don’t have that success I understand how difficult it is and I don’t get extremely discouraged

I get mad for bout a week then I’m over it . It’s just not that serious to me and they are my favorite sports franchise

In the end I get much more frustrated with real life stuff like filling up my gas tank etc!

The goal every season is superbowl

Playoff is a first step. You don't get to playoffs there is no superbowl.

For us to get a high draft pick we have to have had a bunch of injuries to ket players.

Yeah, this does not impact my actual life much. Never said it did. What I want as a fan, is what I already mentioned. No one is jumping off a roof because they don’t get want they want as a fan. I just don’t get as excited with regular season success as I do with postseason success. I also don’t burn cowboys’ gear after a big loss, lol.

Each win is a step to the superbowl. Playoffs are a byproduct of a successful regular season, just as a Super Bowl win is a byproduct of a successful postseason. Winning every single down, every second, every game is what should be the goal.

I’d rather be making the playoffs every season even if it means an early exit then having a high draft pick. There’s some fans that want the Cowboys to tank every year just to get a high pick. Don’t know how anyone that’s a fan of the team could enjoy the season hoping for losses every week, just to improve our draft position. There’s some ridiculous fans out there.

There are zero fans that want to tank every season. You are just making stuff up. They want to have extreme amounts success or extreme amounts of defeat. If it’s the choice between actual change and perpetual mediocrity, then my preference is actual change. The change is what the fans would be cheering for-not the defeats.

Weve had plenty of talent many times since 1995 to do it, we just didn’t do it.
The Romo fumbled FG attempt
The 2007 Clayton fail
The 2014 Dez catch no catch
2022-2023 easily talented enough, esp had we kept Cooper and Pollard doesn’t get injured.

You pretty much admitted what I just said. If we’re not going to have an extreme amount of success, they want an extreme amount of failure as in tanking. There’s some that at least claim they want the team to tank as soon as they lose a couple of disappointing games. They start hoping for a high draft pick at that point. They believe that a lot of losses will bring on change.
