last offseason/season have really done a number on me. I get almost no joy from watching or following The Cowboys anymore, I’m checking into podcast/groups out of 20yrs of habit. I don’t see any evidence that the joneses actually care about winning, Jerry seems much more interested in being a star and Stephen seems to take a cowardly approach to everything. I’m a fan of Dallas because I’m from DFW but I don’t want to be a fan of a team that has 0 motivation to win championships. It would be a different story if I could point to things that the organization is doing to try and win but I can’t find any.

This is what Jerry and his kid have done to this team. It seems more and more people are finally waking up and realizing it. Even though it’s been going on for quite some time, last offseason was when you realized just how pathetic they truly are.

Aside from the "DFW" thing, I could have written this. How I feel exactly.

Completely justified. I wish I didn't have the mindset of you can never switch teams or I would.

Simply change the way you view it. Start laughing at the blatantly obvious horrific way that Jerry runs this team.

We haven't had a chance to win a super bowl in many many years. Only thing that changed is that you realized it.

It’s really about Jerry wanting to work with his family more than anything else. It’s not about making the right moves versus the family moves. Sure, they would like all that nepotism to pay off with a championship. But, it’s not at the top of his list. He summed it up pretty nicely in his “Landman” appearance.

I totally agree!! After I missed that Bucs game this season, that was it for me, never thought i'd find joy in missing a cowboys game. Now I feel like I can do it more

This is kind of how I'm looking at it. Been a fan since 75. Used to cry after losses. It was always SB or bust. The Garrett years and the last few offseason have ruined me and how I feel. I don't want another team so I just enjoy football. Now I watch this team through the eyes of driving by a car wreck while still hoping it changes one day.

I did that this season. The moment, and I mean the exact moment, the Cowboys announced they re-signed Dak to that stupid deal, I mentally checked out. Honestly, I'm glad I did. What a lame season. On the bright side, not a single loss fazed me. In fact, some of those beatdowns we suffered were almost laughable, a true comedy of errors. I've just reached a point where I can't sink my emotions into this franchise as long as Jerry Jones is steering the ship.

I hate it. This isn’t what being a fan is about for me. I get that every NFL team has its ups and downs, but with these two clowns running the franchise, the future feels bleak.

100%! I love football but it's a life add-on for me. Sometimes I think some use the Cowboys as a way for vicarious wins in life and then get devastated when it doesn't pan out. Use that energy for real life wins and if the Cowboys win too, great. If not, you have your real life wins.

Its not only hard for me, but it is impossible...the Dim extension and no change at HC made that happen...it honestly amazes me how anyone can come on here and try and discuss or bring up an actual Cowboy football discussion about so and so, or such and such....because in the words of Bill Murray in Meatballs, IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER....and won't for a minimum of five (5) years. This is MUCH WORSE than 1-15 in 1989, because we knew we had a leader....I had hope. I have honestly NEVER been more Cowboy apathetic in my 49 years as a fan!!!!

I come here mainly due to being a member for almost 20 years more-so than being excited about the Cowboys.
My optimism for the Cowboys is at an all time low. Like 2000-02 levels, but back then I had more hopium on young guys developing.

Yes, I was shocked at how much that 5 minute appearance explained.

Maybe I'm just getting old and loosing interest but this is the first season I can remember someone asking me what time a game was on and I had no clue. Also, switched many games to redzone, cared more about my fantasy team this year.
