Cowboys interested in CJ2K

Makes no sense. Dunbar is better than this guy at this point.

You really can't say that. Dunbar hasn't done ANYTHING except for the 1 game he had.

If cap allows I would sign CJ. CJ is better than all our RBs combined. He can easily take one of the Romo dump off passes and take it to the house. Murray had 53 receptions last yr. Imagine what CJ can do with those receptions!

Teeth made of gold ... his brain on the other hand ... Just kidding, though on a serious note I wouldn't be interested in him at all due to the amount of of money he is demanding. He's a talented RB nonetheless though, he's sure as heck a lot better then Dunbar.
I should bench you for posting that pic... *shivers*

Too early in the morning for that rudeness. lol

Sure thing. Get him in here. Any over the hill RB who probably fails his physical today. Absolutely.

Why? He was still an excellent RB last season, but its not like he was anything like 2012

Hmm, the fact that Minnesota had absolutely nothing beside him doesn't make a difference? Peterson is still the best RB in the league, with McCoy his only legit competition.

He had one of the better o-lines in the game last season. He still had a good year, don't get me wrong, but by his standards it was mediocre. A lot of it had to do with him being banged up, but going on 30 the injuries aren't going to just go away with his workload. Bottom line break down the tape, and he was not the best RB in the game last year. Could he regain that title? No doubt, but we are talking about his individual grade a year ago.

Any list of RB's that has Adrian Peterson 7th is pretty bogus.

PFF massively sucks.

But last year was a bad one for Chris Johnson. Just in general, that offense was out of whack and he didn't help matters. Those 1077 rushing yards and low ypc were not the norm for him.
I have almost no doubt that he could be very good or great in the right situation though. Even with the "bad" year last year, the guy score 16 TDs. When is last time a Cowboy back scored 16 TDs? MB3 actually did way back 2006..before then...maybe Emmitt.

I just don't think the fit for him is in Dallas.

Would love to have a motivated CJ if the price was right, but I don't see him coming here for pennies.

Not with 11 picks in a Deep RB Draft, you could select a 7th Round RB with young legs that could be more efficient.

Sorry....PASS on CJ and his high $ Contract.

Per nfl.com. I would like this at a decent price, would be a nice tandem with him and Murray

It would be nice, but considering what he did to the Titans a few years back to get paid like the best RB in football, I'm not sure he would be good for the overall team chemistry. Not sure I would want that influence for any of our younger players. But I would love me some speed at the postion...I really really would...

I don't see what a 1-2 year deal would hurt. He's bound to do better here than in Tennessee, what weapons did they have, Britt? I'm sure he'd be cheap since he wants a job. But as always if it's a big cap hit then no. Murray can't stay healthy so if the price is right it couldn't hurt.

Would love to have CJ from a couple of years ago. If he is cut by the Titans and is cheap then I would not be against bringing him in.

Officially released per Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean:

BREAKING: The #Titans have officially informed RB Chris Johnson he’s being released, per sources. The C.J. era is over in Tennessee.

We already DID the "grab the over the hill RB from the Titans" some years ago.

Eddie George, redux, anyone?

Johnson just had surgery, and he's coming off a year of lots of attempts, but little production. He's just not the same guy he used to be.

For a cheap deal, I'd take him, but it won't be cheap.

What makes a lot of this media "speculation" crazy is that they have the Giants going after him. Why I have no idea. Only about $4M in cap space and they just signed Rashad Jennings to be their feature back. About the only team linked to Johnson that makes sense in any way is the Jets.

I would rather we had any interest in Ben Tate, but I still think Johnson is fast enough. I doubt we have any interest and certainly not at twice as much what Tate got paid.

I seriously doubt anyone would sign Rashad Jennings to be a feature anything.

My guess is that he would be in the mix and David Wilson is still the hope there. That kid does have huge upside, but he can't seem to stay on the field.
