This is exactly what you will see when Romo is back. This is only 1 year ago. Short memories in this forum.

1 year ago? You mean two years ago? LOL

2 broken collar bones, one broken back and 2 aged years ago. And a lot of rust.

No thanks, I will stick with the young hall of fame rookie in the making. At this point, if you arent on the Dak bandwagon, then you have to be a Philly or Washington troll.

Why is everyone so scared if Romo comes in? Really, like it would be like putting Weedan into the game.

It is fair to criticize Dak fans who change the past and pretend Romo is suddenly a downgrade. I believe we are all Dak fans....just some of us feel that they need to take shots at Romo and change the reality that Romo is a very very good QB. Of course we all know injuries are a real possibility.

Certain personality types need to pick sides and attack the other side. It's like iPhone vs android, Xbox vs PS4, Chevy vs ford, ect..... It's weird and unfortunate when a fan feels the need to develop such dislike for a member of their same team.
I agree with everything you say except for any idea that it is only one side that does it. I mean look at the fan zone, they had enough threads to merge of people making a suttle attempt to dig at "Dak fans" by reminding them that Romo is coming back "like it or not". I have seen that all year when every time dak has a good game, the excuses get more extravagant.

It goes both ways. Like I said, I agree that Romo is a very good qb, but by no means would that stop me from playing Dak over Romo if it was better for team.

You didn't mention the Dak haters who want him to lay an egg in GB so a more secure Romo can come to the rescue whenever he is cleared to play.
It is amazing the naivete of some who think Romo can last given his back, his fragile clavicle and age and rustiness.
Maybe i just haven't seen the posts, but there dont seem to be many who want Tony back who aren't also supportive of Dak. On the other hand, there are a ton of people posting who want Dak to continue to be the starter AND insist on slamming Tony despite the fact he's the main reason we've had a functioning offense for the last decade.

No reason not to be thrilled with 4-1
Dak has far exceeded expectations ad we can all be exited and proud.

I think most of us thought the 2-3 Bengals would be better than they are (just like most thought the Panthers and Cards would be better).
But it WAS a serious butt-stomping that Dallas put on Cincy.
It's just that to keep perspective; Dallas has beaten one team with a winning record right now...Washington at 3-2. Just one team.
They all count though.

Just looking at the schedule, it looks like the tougher part is later.
We haven't faced a defense rated higher than 15th yet--and most were much worse-- but several are coming.
This line can maul anyone, so we have that in our back pocket regardless.

I think whether it's Dak or Tony, we will have a few losses in the next 6-7 games. The quality of the opponent does matter, after all.

Nothing will really surprise me at this point either way.
Hoping to see 5-1!

You had me reaching for the online dictionary on this one, but Google keeps on converting the word to "consistent". I don't have my desk dictionary at my finger tips (We had to move areas at work, and most of my stuff is packed away).

Is that a real word, and what does it mean if it is? Or did you mean "consistent"?

My phone did that

Maybe it is just me, but I don't get people being down on other fans who prefer sticking with Dak over Romo. This is an opinion board. All of the years that Romo has been great for us does nothing to offset the bigger reasons to think his time may be done so your opinion is no greater than theirs and vice versa.

Basically it is who gives us a better chance now and in the future. I wanna say Romo gives us a better shot this year, but I don't think he will last unless they find a way to keep him from getting hit. With that in mind, it wouldn't bother me at all if we kept Dak in. I mean next year and beyond we should go with Dak no matter what anyways. I will have no beef at all with Romo, as I always been a big fan of his, if he goes in this year but I really like Dak and think he gives us a real shot as well.
Next year and beyond, definitely be behind Dak as starter. My opinion

Interesting math.

He was injured last year and so far this year. To me, thats two years. One could argue he hasnt played effectively for 3 years.

Ehhh.. kind of a sneaky stat ..as the old argument goes.. WE PREVENTED CINCY from having a would be winning record. This stat will mean more towards the end of the season.

Yeah, I understand that too. These phones have a mind of their own. Mine keeps turning "but" into "bit." I'm like "but" is more commonly used than "bit."

Anyway, I thought that was a word I wasn't familiar with. I'm kind of a wordsmith so I like it when posters use words I'm not acquainted with. It makes me run to the dictionary. :)

Lots of things missing from that video. How about the int he threw with 53 seconds left in the 2nd quarter that led to a field goal or the int he threw with 9+ minutes to go in the 4th quarter that led to a TD and a double digit lead. And let's not forget that if not for the Giants bone headed clock management in the final minutes, that last drive never happens. It was a great comeback and last drive but Romo's mistakes put them there. Dak doesn't do that to the team. Until he starts turning the ball over or starts losing games, he should play. That's all most people are saying. Romo will be a great luxury to bring in if and when Dak falters but you don't fix what isn't broken. Let it break and then Romo can come to the rescue. If it never breaks, then we're Super Bowl contenders and who will be upset with that!

I don't think fans that think Romo should get his job back once healthy are down on other fans that want to stick with Dak... I think people are down on Fans who change the past and disrespect Romo while stating their case that they want Dak...
It is an opinion board and no ones opinions are more valuable than anyone else. Where this fails is when you have fans who say stupid crap like, "Romo is done, He cost us chances at the playoffs, He is a choker" ect.
The fans who want Romo to come back are not bashing Dak...In fact I believe almost all of them like Dak and are excited about having a bright future with him. The lies and venom are definitely coming more from the Dak should keep the job crowd than the Romo should crowd.

In fact we have a new member of this board @Gabe who only post negative stuff about Romo. This clown wasn't even a Cowboys fan until we drafted Dak. He claims to have gone to Mississippi State or something. He has almost 300 post in 2 months all negative lies about Romo from times when he was a fan of a team he wont name.

Part of that comes from Romo defenders who act like stats and qb rating mean more than winning. Romo has not been his best on many occasions that meant the season was over. I put winning above everything and Romo has failed in that regard. Sure, there are other reasons besides Romo but there are also plenty of examples of it being totally on him. I like Romo but I like Dak better. He plays mistake free football and doesn't care who isn't there in the huddle. He finds a way to move forward and lead his team to a win. That's all I want in a QB. I'll take crappy stats and a win every time over 350 yards passing and a loss because your qb threw 2 ints.

A few points I want to bring up. in 2014 with a running game similar to Zeke, The cowboys led the league in 3rd down conversions. Romo should have won the MVP that season statistically. He only didn't win it because Demarco and Romo split votes. Also Romo has played at a level for a long time where he is in the top 3 QB rating in league history. He also is tops in come from behind 4th quarter victories. We all love Dak...He provides a mobile aspect to his game that no one expects or wants Romo to attempt at this point....However Romo also has some parts to his game that he has gained from experience that Dak doesn't yet have. Fans that want Romo to return believe he is our best chance to make a superbowl run.

Its not a knock against Dak...Its an endorsement of Romo's abilities. In fact if the NFL draft happened all over again I would want us to trade up to the first spot and take Dak. He is the real deal.

Sure I did and I checked the box score because I remembered Romo's ill timed interceptions being the reason we were about to lose and then the Giants screwed up the clock management at the end that allowed the game winning drive. What about all of that is not true?

None of that means anything when you don't have the playoff wins and Super Bowls to go with it. Romo's stats are great but he continually fell short when it mattered most. Wins > Stats each and every time.
