I am sure guys like Tyron Smith and Zach Martin and Byron Jones like to go out with friends and party a little. And yet you never hear stories about how a fight broke out around them or how they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Because I suspect they are always aware of what's going on around them and to not end up in a situation where Elliott sometimes finds himself. We need to stop acting like this is just bad luck for Elliott. It's his choices that put him in these situations, even if he didn't throw a punch here.

Yes. It's they're his choices and we are just going to have to live with it. I don't want him to miss games, but going to a bar isn't bad. This may have been bad luck. With all the girls it appears he has having one crazy one isn't that bad percentage wise. She tried to extort him. Hard to control that, but possible. Having car wrecks where he was a passenger is also hard to avoid.

I guess I don't think he has bad luck. He really hasn't done that much wrong. Maybe I'm forgetting a "situation".

I doubt many party as much as this guy.

Wore a man purse - OK. NEVER DID THAT.

Now I am a dad with a nice wife, two kids, a good paying job and fairly darn responsible.

The difference for Zeke is the social media and ridiculous amount of attention he is getting. His behaviors aren't really out of the norm. He has shown no indication that his activities impact his daily life or performance on the field. He doesn't seem to be Johnny.

I hate to say it but you were a no body, no one outside of your inner circle knew you. Zeke is a public figure, when he walks into a place people through out the club knows him. He runs a much greater risk than some avg Joe. That is the reality. I agree he is human but his situation is much different than you or I. An athletes career is a short period in his life and they just can't afford getting suspended. DUI you can check it pay the fine and it is over for Zeke you are looking at lost games, experimentation if he is popped again lost games, picking up women? there are some who will see him as a target for accusations or rape to make a quick buck off him and again his reputation and career get put on the line. These guys have to be more careful than your avg guy

Man, do you really think someone would pick a fight with Tyron Smith and / or Zach Martin, or anyone in his group....you should have said Cole Beasley and Dan Bailey....:lmao:

What his employers want for him - the Cowboys and the NFL - is what they want. And if he wants to make big money from those people, he has to do what they want. And what they want is a direct reflection of what the people who pay them big money - the fans - want.

Zeke can quit football and go do whatever the hell he wants. Or he can play football, make huge money and do what his employer wants. It's either/or, not both.

You can ask plenty of idiots on the outside looking in without a pot to piss in about doing it their way.

Two, getting into tough situations off the field absolutely can impact his performance on the field. With the NFL already watching him closely, he could be suspended if he gets into a bar fight. Or he could get injured. Break a hand, get punch in the eye, etc.

It's time to stop making excuses for the kid. Again, there are hundreds of NFL players who go out and yet don't seem to find themselves in sticky situations from time to time.

You are propagating the modern day Master/Slave mentality. The NFL is the modern day plantation that thinks they can control every aspect of a players life off the field thanks to fans like you that insist on making it so. Elliott broke no laws and so why is that not good enough?

Again, no one (well save for a few random guys) said he can't go to a bar and have a bit of fun. And maybe no one parties as much as Elliott, but then that's probably a problem if that's the case. Maybe Elliott should cut back a bit on his partying?

He's made some poor immature decisions. Anyone denying that probably just can't bring themselves to admit one of their favorite players is trending towards knucklehead status.

Barring some video footage that's out there probably not much more the police can do. Bunch of half drunk witnesses in a dark night club, most of which aren't going to come forward anyway if they did see something
