Opening for Elliott? NFL investigator Kia Roberts recommended no suspension **merged**

That's not proof. And the report being that long does not impress me. The league is hiding all pages of it.

Considering that last bit how do you know who wrote it?

"Roberts, according to the petition, was the only lead investigator to interview Thompson, and Roberts co-authored a 160-page investigation report. Roberts nevertheless was not present for the key proceeding that resulted in the initial six-game suspension, when evidence was presented to (and questions were posed by) the four experts who advised Goodell on discipline."

But I agree she should have been made available if the Panel had questions

@aria is a Giants fan, why would anyone care what that troll has to say
It's fun hearing him/them try to weasel out of all the **** they've been saying. Also, it's fun (for me)seeing how people react when they're proven wrong.

The fact she was "barred"(Clarence Hill's word's he said he got from a source) by a lifelong rabid Giants fan is what is disturbing.

She should have been but she was barred from the meeting by Friel.

She should have been but she was barred from the meeting by Friel.

Like I said before, "if" the panel had questions for her, she should have been made available to answer them but we don't know if they had questions for her and if the allegations are that she was Barred, or the fact she didn't include her conclusions about Thompson's interview in the 160 page report, then that would be a problem for the NFL and an injunction would be granted on that alone..

Seems too early to file? Wonder if they think Henderson was not going to reduce the number of games? Does this ensure Zeke plays week 1?
Not if they're going after the procedural abuse angle. They want to show their hand on purpose.

The NFL has a real problem on their hands. I suspect they're trying to negotiate a much lower suspension, but why would Zeke accept it?

And if that allegation proves to be true, then a judge would grant an injunction...

She testified to that to Harold Henderson this week.

The league won't release Kia Roberts' findings to the NFLPA or Zeke's attorneys. What does that say?

Where are his union brothers in all this? Why don't his fellow players publicly state that this dog and pony show the NFL is producing is a disgrace. They must see this precedent as frightening. Any player simply cannot be left alone with a woman for any amount of time or they put themselves at great risk. The players should announce that they refuse to play any games until Zeke is treated fairly.

Yes, I know that will never happen.

Schefter just said on SC that he spoke with someone in the know who said Zeke's chances of playing against the Giants are 50/50.

Care to elaborate?

Cyrus Mehri is throwing his name in to take over the player's union in place of DeMaurice Smith.

The players are furious at Smith because he negotiated a lower % of the earnings in the CBA. Mehri is an extremely successful attorney for employees rights and his first order of business is to up the percentage of revenue sharing for the players.

Smith claims that they are already preparing players for a strike when the CBA expires.

I really don't dislike Smith. While he did negotiate a smaller revenue % for the players, he also won a lot of concessions for the players and players like Drew Brees praised the idea of a little less revenue sharing to win those concessions.

The problem I have with the CBA is that it was a 10-year long contract which is idiotic on every level. It should have been 5-years, max.

The players are ticked off at the owners for the deal and feel the owners sandbagged them on future deals. Now, if Mehri becomes in charge of the player's union he is going to go full tilt on the CBA and the owners will end up blaming Goodell.

He could accept it. Zeke expected a small suspension on general behavior, including the Parade incident.

If he accepts it, he admits to being guilty of what they are accusing him for which is domestic violence. The St Patrick's day thing has nothing to do with this.

Don't agree. They could drop the DV, but say a pattern of conduct. I believe that is what Jerry and Zeke expected. 1-2 games.

Yet the NFL stated that the suspension had nothing to do with those events so now they back track and say well now we will suspend you for something else?
