Best Metallica Song?

I still listen to old Metallica when mowing. Can't just list one, too many good ones.

Justice might be their best technical cd. They had so many cool riffs for each song. But the problem with Justice is the production... Esp the drums. The drums are so thin and tinny on that cd.. No thunder to them. Drives me crazy.

Love slayer and pantera as well. Dime and Kerry were great friends. Dime designed some guitars before he died. He wanted them to be given to some people players.. They were one offs do to the paint jobs. One of them was a dean razorback V with tribal paint and rusty look that was given to Kerry King. He also had guitars sent to EVH and Z. Wylde

Sadly pantera broke up and later Dime was killed on stage.

Slayer is still going strong even though Hanneman died... Gary Holt (exodus) is now playing with Kerry in slayer and they have a couple killer videos off the last cd. Would post them here but aittle too gory for family friendly. You against you and repentless... Looks those up in that order... Kind of mini movies.

Oh and Gary Holt's Blood red esp guitar is wicked

I texted a buddy that introduced Metallica to me in the 4rth grade a couple lines from, For Whom The Bell Tolls,

"Take a look to the sky just before you die.. It's the last time you will...."

He didn't realize it was Metallica lyrics so now he's all paranoid..:lmao2:

why are we talking about Slayer and Pantera? Stay on topic sheesh. This is supposed to be about Metallica.

I was not a metal head growing up, though I did like some songs here and there. Some bands I liked were Kiss, AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Scorpions.....I would consider the latter two to be more hard rock than metal though.

I didn't learn about Metallica until the black album. I have learned more since, but I still have not heard all of their stuff, nor have I sought it out. I will say, of all the once I have heard, my favorite song is "One"......coincidentally, my favorite U2 and Creed songs are also "One".....

1. One
2. Wherever I May Roam
3. Enter Sandman
4. Fade to Black
5. Fuel
6. Until it Sleeps
7. Nothing Else Matters
8. Seek and Destroy
9. For Whom the Bell Tolls
10. Master of Puppets

I also really liked their cover of Bob Seger's "Turn the Page"

I am probably one of the few who doesn't like "The Unforgiven", and I definitely don't like "The Unforgiven 2"

Because we want to

Garage Days
Ride the Lightning
Master of Puppets.

Then Metallica died to me.
Sold out for radio play and cut their hair.
No metal band should ever have short hair.

The best thing Metallica ever produced was Dave Mustaine.
