I am not having a bladder scope even if it means I win a trip to the Bahamas. Isn't getting a shot in your eye enough? And I don't recall you getting any reward for that. So I am thinking a needle in your eye is better than whatever that chiropractor put up your bladder and I didn't even know they did that sort of the thing. Gives new meaning to "adjustment".

I am only half envious, Leon, because I could only handle at the most, half that time in the Bahamas. I really like looking at the ocean but I do not get in it since I discovered I might be sustenance for some of the denizens of the deep. Last time I was in the ocean, swam into a herd of jellyfish just lying in wait for some poor fool to leave the nice pool at the condos and go where things hide in the water. To top that off, they spotted a 10 foot hammerhead and got everybody out of the water. Me and the ocean just agreed to stay the hell out of each other's way after that.

I do dig the umbrella drinks but I can work my way through all of them the first day and then have nothing to look forward to the rest of the trip. And I reggae and steel drum myself out by day 2. By day 3, I am fully clothed, sitting in the dark, drinking a martini and listening to opera.

You guys have a great time and just a little bit of advice. Don't go to a chiropractor down there. If one in Texas will give you a bladder scope, the mind reels at what one in the Bahamas might do.
You're definitely on a role this morning, Coach. Sounds like you're ready for the weekend.

We flew to Orlando late last night and are now headed to our daughter's home to see her precious two little girls. They're 3 and 5 and are full fledge, card carrying member's of the Disney princess club :)

Surprisingly, the weather is very pleasant - not oppressively humid

Lol no, chiros don't do the scopes, and if they do I'd be finding a different chiro:omg:

Morning, Paps and pen pals. I guess my planning day yesterday paid off. I've now got a design for the flower beds that need to be re-done including which plants to plant and where to plant them. They'll get done as soon as I can train the dog to dig the area up for me. Actually, I like creating landscapes. I just hate maintaining them; hence the need to completely start over. Have a great day!

Afternoon Pops and friends. Leon, I've never heard of a trip to the Bahamas being rewarded after a scope. I feel robbed! While you're there, live in the moment and soak it all in. The internet will be waiting for you when you get back.

Enjoy your visit with your friend, RVG. Tell a few whoppers to leave him guessing. If you can't think of any, Coach has some you can borrow.

Coach, have fun at your designated adult day care. Have fun and take an Uber home afterwards. Thanks for sharing why you don't get in the ocean any more. Hey Runny, I found that secret ingredient in jellyfish!

ABQ, that's one scary looking predator around those shrimp. I don't think they're safe.

Careful what you wish for Gramma, most of the time it's the other way around.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Is that the ingredient they brag about as being good for the memory, or do I need the stuff they brag about being good for the memory?

Oh yeah! Coach gave me a good idea and I told some real whoppers. My buddy was so impressed, he even asked for my autograph.

Good morning Pops and Zoners friends.

We had a wonderful time visiting our daughter and her family in Orlando this past weekend. We stayed at one of the Disney resorts and had a big pool party for our 3 year old grand daughter's birthday.

A few quick observations from our trip: athough we have been to WDW many times, I continue to marvel at what a first class operation Disney is. From the parks to the resorts to dining to the landscaping, it is first rate.

Everyone one of the parents of the kids attending the pool party had tattoos. Now, I have no issue with tats, but I just found it interesting - more like a fashion statement than anything else. Most of the tats we're illegible Sanskrit or Japanese characters.

Everyone seemed to really enjoy living in Orlando and seemed a bit incredulous that we chose to live in Colorado.

This brings me to the next observation - the quickest way to shut down a discussion with a Floridian is to mention the weather and, in particular, our recent mild temperatures in Colorado - in the mid-20's. They get a blank stare of incomprehension, shiver and walk away.

The last observation is the boundless energy of 3 and 5 year old kids - it will take me a few more days to recover.

Good morning Pops and fellow pony lovers. Oh not the ones you ride, the ones that run around an oval track counter clockwise and you get to wager on which ones will come in and in what order sometimes. Wagering is quite scientific and I would explain it to you if I understood it. I go to the window to meet with the nice accommodating people who take my money and give me little tickets. The ponies run with midgets on their backs in cool colors, I stand up and yell a number at random because I've already forgotten my wager and go back to the window with my ticket and ask "did I win? Give me money".

My annual small family reunion with my two cousins is this weekend in Hot Springs that coincides with the running of the Rebel Stakes and this will be our 6th year to make it. I never had siblings and they're the closest to a brother and sister that I have and this is always a great time. And my cousin-in-law is a real peach, she's one of them Frainch women so I always feel like I've gone to Paris instead of Hot Springs. We sit on the veranda and discuss how much we detest Americans.

The high point of the racing part so far is we got to see American Pharoah run live and that was watching a horse run among ponies, he was magnificent. They're beautiful creatures to watch run and he was exceptional. I made a lot on him utilizing my Colorado cousin's Twin Spire account and made enough on Justify, this past season's Triple Crown winner, to pay for this trip including all the wagering I've planned.

On a side note, my wife loved horses so much. So much that I got over my fear from a fall I took as a kid to start riding with her and our plan was to get a small ranchette type place north of Dallas where she could have one but that never happened. My cousins loved her like a sister and when I am with them, I do not feel that deep hole loneliness I feel around our friends that I avoid for the most part. I do not know why and cannot explain it. When I am there watching those beautiful animals run, I feel she is there with me, all decked out in a fancy hat which is the tradition at the Rebel and Arkansas Derby.

So, I will be out of the forum Th-Su because I will be with my real family but will return to my forum family next Monday. I am really looking forward to this but looking forward to being back among y'all as well. I could never explain to you how important you are to me. I do believe the old DC.com and the folks over here helped me keep whatever sanity I have. I have only met one member here, The Gip, but you folks are so very dear to me. I might complain about the cruelty and meanness of the internet but it does have this side as well.

Make this a good day.
