Accountability 101 - RW Blames Romo for Everything... Vid added Post #73

Listen to all his excuses about his level of production - it is obvious he just doesn't get it. That's all the evidence I need - his words and his stats.

I'm sorry but the person who doesn't get it is you. he is not the only one responsible for his poor performance.

How about tossing a pass that is catchable?

The Sanitation Dept. has PCs in their trucks?????????

Not that there is anything wrong with that. Without the sanitation dept. our cities (and especially the home of the fighting idiots) would be overrun by rats.

Don't apologize. Fighting Idiots should never apologize. Stand proud. :)

I don't see this as Williams being a baby as much as being honest--I would say most of the fault is Williams' but Romo has thrown some bad ball his way--I just hope they get to the point where Tony trusts him a bit more

UGH!!! Can we catch a break PLEASE!!!??? Just when we're looking great we have to deal with another TO?? What is with WR's in this league?? Babies!!!!

RW is a Texas and UT legend - he is cut a ridiculous amount of slack by his "followers" - meaning those who like RW more than they like the Cowboys. This is one type of RW sheep.

The other type of sheep is more of a homer Cowboys fan sheep - they will always choose to see the Cowboys and its players in a positive light, especially when allegedly tackled in the media. These are the homer Sheep.

There are those who just believe Roy is a good player who is going to help the Cowboys but are in denial regarding the level of quality of his play.

So there are definitely shades of grey here.

I tend to be on the opposite end of the spectrum because RW has always rubbed me the wrong way with his arrogance and selfishness. For a guy who hasn't accomplished all that much, he has an awful high opinion of himself. WRs should be in their prime in their 6th season - I really doubt the issue is that Romo can't throw him the ball accurately. This notion seems almost preposterous to me. The problem lies with RW but since he believes he is doing nothing wrong he will not put in the extra work to correct what he is doing wrong.

Look, I could be one of the biggest Romo "sheep" here, but even I can acknowledge that nobody here knows who is at fault for this lack of chemistry. I'd be willing to bet it is some combination of RW and Romo.

In any case, I guess I should get out of the way of the angry mob.

Everybody getcher torches and pitchforks! RW is da Debbil!

Guys, it doesn't matter who's at fault for the lack of chemistry......you DON'T go to the press and cause a rip in the locker room about it!

Ask him to explain what happen when the ball hit his hands yet he dropped it.

I don't blame him for all the non-catches when targeted. Romo has thrown several balls over his head or at his feet. You can't expect him to catch those balls, but if it hit you in the hands, thats your fault buddy.

Or the lazy routes. He seems to round his routes off. Watch the difference between him and Austin. It's like night and day. Even the slower footed Witten runs a crfisp cut on his routes. Remember the slant he ran on Sunday where instead of slanting, he did a half curl, let the DB get position on him, and it almost resulted in an interception. Fact is, I don't dislike the guy, but his routes are terrible.

If you can just stop throwing to the WR and not hurt your offense, it really hardly matters what he thinks. This is far from another TO situation.

It's amazing how similar the controversy over this Roy Williams is with the controversy over the previous Roy Williams.

Supporters of Roy were adamant that it was everyone else's fault--players, media, coaches, scheme-and the player himself took no responsibility whatsoever for his faults.

It's almost the EXACT same discussion

The thing is if you watch the interview it doesn't come off nearly as bad as the article portrays it.

But thats why the players in the NFL are so cynical now days. Because of articles like that.

Whats funny is Bryan Broadus is saying that Roy is getting open.

Hes not getting jammed at the line or anything like that.

But Roy and Romo just aren't connecting. But the reason isn't because "Roy Sucks" because according to a former scouts film study that isn't the case at all.

Roy is really wearing thin. Everything about him. Romo doesn't just magically make himself accurate throwing to other receivers. We never hear Miles/Witten and co. actin' like a lil' ***** to the media. Just work on it and GET IT RIGHT....

Roy is in a big market now. He was "supposed" to be the big fish but he's getting outplayed. Just **** because you're not fooling anyone and you look *** STUPID. **** and play...

piss *** little crybaby.. his ego obviously comes before the team.

What's funnier is that there are those who are either watching the game and stand by their claim that Williams runs only bad routes and is never open. No one has to be a football specialist like Broadus to not see those claims are plainly false.

IMO we will be looking back on the Roy Sucks blah blah blah posts at some point in the year and laughing + bumpage of old threads.

If its just a communication issue I expect 2 gifted players like Romo and Roy to get it figured out eventually.

Just some food for thought, if you take away all the Roy targets, Romo's completion percentage jumps from 60% to 65%.

I don't care whose fault it is, as of right now, Roy starting is hurting this team.

or be a shill, enabler, sheep, and whatever else they claim.

If Roy is going in and Romo's going out, then how can anyone with any degree of certainty claim they know whose fault it is? Because that's happened on MORE than one occasion.

On the flip side, there have been balls that have hit in the palm of his hands, and those drops are on him.

At this point, they just need to get it together. And my only gripe now is he needs to force the interviewers to focus on another topic. Eight weeks into the football season after he and Romo haven't connected, this shouldn't even be a story anymore.

He needs to shorten his interview period and limit what Rasheed said one time, "I play hard. The other team plays hard. Romo plays hard."

Yep.

Roy will never be as great as some hoped for, but some day soon we'll probably find this talk in the scrap heap with topics like "Jenkins is only starting over Scandrick because he's a #1 pick", "We'll never replace TO's production", and "Newman hurt his groin again? He can never stay healthy".
