If you ask that same question here on this board what do you think the answer would be? the exact same thing.

if you love your team, you are obviously going to hope, wish and expect for a super bowl. After your team comes off a great run(in which the skins had last year), the spirits of fans are going to be high, and there are going to be high expectations. Even if you dont come off a spectacular year, fans still expect thier team to bounce back and go to the super bowl, like here.

Its natrual for just about any fan base.

link to extremeskins thread where 70% said they would win the superbowl another 4% said they would make it and lose. Out of the 25% (35votes) that said they would not be at the superbowl 7 of them were not Commanders fans

link to same poll on this site and its 52 to 42%

B.S

Less than 200 people voted... and 63 percent say the Cowboy are the worst team in the EAST... so out of a supposed 50,000 members only 125 vote to say cowboys are the worst team in the EAST?

Hate... jealousy....

just so you dont add anything misleading here, your eyes misled you, the eagles are the team with 63%, as the worst team in this division.

dont you think that this poll is a little skewed? If you ask a question like that, "will they win the superbowl", and give three answers, "yes", "no", "make it but loose", it is leading a hometown board to a certain answer. You all have been talking about expectations of what 'boys fans think. If you make a post like that, it doesnt give much room for people to dispute.

What does Q.E.D. mean? Inquiring minds want to know...

:star:

"quod erat demonstrandum" - the latin phrase for "that which was to be demonstrated."

It's used in mathematical and logical proofs when something has been proven.

From another board, props to ChoppinBroccoli
Quite predictably, the 'Skins fan claimed that the Commanders had the best player in the NFC East at every position, which brought many groans from the hosts of the show. He said the Commanders had the best pair of OTs in the East, the best set of Guards, and therefore the best O-Line in all of the NFC East.

Washington arguably has the best tackles. It's a pretty close race between them and Philly. They have the best guards, but that's not much to brag about since the guards in the NFC East are pretty poor. Thomas is very good to excellent, but Dockery really sucks. Rabach was one of the worst centers in the league last year. In all honestly, Al Johnson is probably the best center in the NFC East last year, and that's not saying much.

I'd say they have the best O-Line, but if Dallas or Philly can stay healthy and they can get some guys to reasonably step up their play they can compete with Washington.

Now way does Washington have better CB's than Dallas. Hell, they may not have better CB's than what Philly has to offer.

Poll was not scewed at all, it asked a question and had multiple choice.

It did not lead anyone to any answer as I did not give any kind of reason or statement with the poll.

The poll smashed your theory, I'm sorry :(

Honestly guys

Why shouldn't many of the faithful in DC think the Commanders can and will win the Superbowl

It was painfully obvious the 2 major areas that needed to be improved on the team. Pressure from the d-line and another WR opposite of Moss

The FO took it a step further, adding 2 WR's, a very good DE, and one of the best offensive minds in the game to already one of the most accomplished coaching staff's in NFL history

After a run to the 2nd round with a playoff win (those are rare in these parts the past decade) and a 3rd year with the same coaching staff coming back, and talent upgrades (you can argue if Lloyd or ARE are good, but they are an upgrade to the WR's in the 2 and 3 spots last year) Commanders nation is excited

Are there potential weakness? You bet ya. Will Brunell last the whole year? If JC has to come in, can he handle the load? Can the team absorb an injury on the o-line (ala Randy Thomas last year, Jon Jansen 2004) Will Rock McIntosh be able to contribute?

Questions sure. However none more then any other club and a team with a lot more answers starting with Gibbs, Saunders and Williams running the show

You can call me crazy, and can laugh at this post in 7 months. But BARRING MAJOR INJURIES, I absolutley do expect a 4th Lombardi trophy in Washington in February. With the returning talent, returning coaching staff and the offseason additions made, this is the year to do it and get the job done

One mistake people are making when looking at matchups

You cannot compare Washington's o-line to Dallas' o-line, or the QB's to each other

You have to compare Washington's o-line to Dallas, Philly and NYG's D-line

The WR's the Commanders have to the secondaries they will face

Etc etc

I like our matchups in many of these categories this season, considering last year's offense was virtually a 2 man show (Moss, Portis 1500 yards a piece) Now with some additional help, these guys may not put up the same 1500 yard numbers, but will be far more effective, in part to favorable matchups against the other D's in this division

And of course the matchup advantage I absolutley love. Gibbs, Saunders, Williams vs....

And I really fail to see how vastly overpaying for an average receiver and a QB turned WR greatly improves you WR core.

I fail to see how adding an undersized DE turned OLB turned DE again will greatly improve your pitiful pass rush

Your draft was the worst in all of football, no question

Washington has a nice little team that they bought for way to much money. Nothing more. They will finish 3rd in the NFC East and we will listen all offseason how next year will be the year.

Sort of like how I fail to see replacing Payton with Palmer improves your team

Adding two average lineman helps out your o-line

And according to pundits (i.e guys on TV) Dallas' draft was nothing to write home about

Now can you say this. Taylor Jacobs, and James Thrash > ARE and Lloyd?

Can you say this? Renaldo Wynn > Andre Carter? I guess a guy who played under no talent *** clown coaching in SF, can't improve in DC can he?

Bill Musgrave> Al Saunders?

Or even better

Chris Palmer > Gregg Williams? (How many points did you score on the Washington D last year?)

Mike Zimmer > Al Saunders? (Yes I saw you beat the Chef's on a missed FG by them, yes Saunders was not working with Portis nor Moss)

Did the Commanders not adress needs (LB, d-line depth) in the draft? Is it wise to rely on a squad of unproven rookies and 2nd year players to take you to the promised land?

Will the 2 guys in my sig be able to tackle the guy with the ball in my sig this year?

Nice little team that outclassed your nice little team last year, and improved upon weakness

Shocking. A Commander's fan inflating his own teams' offseason moves while deflating all other team's moves in the division. I guess everything is static outside their own world.

Its quite simple

Our moves addressed a significant weakness. No other option in the passing game

Can you honeslty say your moves improved your o-line?

(And to be fair, there is no your o-line can be any worse. Philip Daniels with 4 sacks? :lmao2: )

First of all, Mike Zimmer is our defensive coordinator and Chris Palmer is our offensive coordinator. Pretty much discredits this post right there.

Dallas had a very good draft, we addressed our needs at OLB and FS. We drafted an OLB that is far superior to the one Washington picked a round too early.

Dallas already had more talent than Washington last year, even a good deal of fans at ES admitted to this (THAT'S saying something). We did not need to improve as much as Washington did. Dallas is a younger, faster, more athletic team with much more room to grow, especially on defense. Washington really doesnt scare me, not nearly as much as New York anyway.

See my sig? Noodle arm threw that pass :) Or do I need to put the whole video clip up? ;)

Oh yeah, what was that, your second win in 17 games?

That was a miracle that Dallas handed you on a silver platter, it wont happen again
