Players like Roschon are very common, like a dime a dozen. Players like Duece come along every decade or so.

The size is an advantage, because you can't grab on to him, he's great with not just angles, but timing his angles...

You can really tell his dad is a scout.
It's hard to tackle smaller guys because they're lower to the ground and a defender has to get extremely low to tackle them.
Besides, they can hide behind their blockers better. That's what they used to say about Barry Sanders. He gets loss behind his big OL-man and boom! He's gone.
Even though it should go without saying, no, I'm not comparing him to Barry Sanders.

Yeah, but Barry Sanders was still 5-8 and 200+ pounds. That 3 inches and 30 pounds on Deuce.

I'm warming up to this pick, big time. I think my favorite pick was Villiami Fehoko.. But Duece Vaughn will be a player for us.

He gives our offense a different flavor, and there's going to be a different game against San Fran.

I really like his ability to be a RB while also being a WR. In other words, we've got our own guy who can play WR and RB!
He reminds me of Tiki Barber or Dave Meggette running the ball kinda upright but he's so small he's not going to take a lot of hits for being upright.

I gotta be honest, I've watched this kid for a while now and I truly believe that the teams in our division should be terrified at how good this offense could become with him and Pollard in the backfield.. This isn't just a tiny man going against gorillas he is one himself and plays like it.. This kid has moves like Barry Sanders and a little Emmitt in him.. I honestly haven't been as excited about a pick in a long long time.. As the Beatles once said "I got a feeling" !!!!!!

The monsters that Philly, NY, and Wash have along the DL will have a terrible time finding him. Will be like the monsters in space jam trying to find tweety bird.

There’s been a lot of talk that he has good hands so the Cowboys could find ways to use him as a receiver. Get him out in space and allow him to use his agility and quickness.

Darren Sproles ran a 4.47 40.

Boston Scott ran a 4.40 40.

Deuce Vaughn ran a 4.56.

If you are going to be Sproles' size, you can't be a step slow.
Wasn't he hurt when he ran? was he slow on tape too?

Well we can really see how his talents can be used now that we got rid of KM, the dumbest offensive coordinator in the league. Hell, we'll get to see what other guys we've had on offense can do now with real NFL offensive coaching running the show.

Emmitt Smith clocked in at 4.55. Jerry Rice clocked in at 4.71.

I'll give you a dollar for everytime they were walked down from behind. With that said, what would you be able to afford outside of a Family Dollar or Salvation Army thrift store with your winnings??

I watched the entire first half of the Sugar Bowl. The big hype game for Vaughn. I can give you a play by play breakdown, but I'll keep it more overview.

1. K State was kinda gimmicky. Switched QBs a lot. Fullhouse backfield. Seemed more geared towards passing. Really good oline.
2. DV gets destroyed on pass pro. Gets destroyed blocking at all.
3. They tried a wheel route to him early that was intercepted. He has zero catch radius.
4. Several zero gain carries
5.More concerning, several runs for loss. He has no power so he jump cuts a lot trying to find space.
6.Does not return kicks. Shocker since this will be the only way he makes the team.
7.Had that 88 yard TD. Untouched.
8. Gets thrown around like a ragdoll on some tackles. He is slippery, but he will get killed on his second effort attempts with NFL size, speed and gang tackling.
9. How is it that there are two 22s that both play?
10. He literally looks like a 4th grader standing next to anyone.

This is not hyperbole, I left even further unimpressed. I was hoping to see something to get excited about. To see Darrin Sproles or Barry Sanders. But all I saw was one long run and a lot of nothing.

If he can be a sproles like player then look out. That is a dynamic that dak has needed for years and would put this offense over the top. Fingers crossed.

He'll be out for a month the first time Bosa breathes on him.

He'll probably spend a year or two on the practice squad before starting his real career in the NFL as a scout, courtesy of the King of Nepotism as well as dear old dad.

Nobody else was going to draft him so I don't see why they just didn't wait to pick him up as a UDFA. I realize all the journalists and analysts are pretending that drafting him was a relevant event but none of them want to risk losing access to the biggest mouth in the league.

If any of them are having trouble finding a story, all they have to do is hang around Jerry for a few minutes. They aren't going to give that up.

Sorry, I know this seems mean spirited but I am so tired of Jerry Jones's PR antics. It's all about money, not winning.

I'm sorta thinking the same thing. Don't want to think it, but can't help it. The comparison to Darren Sproles gives you hopes until you see Sproles injury history:

Oct 28, 2012 NFL Hand Metacarpal Fracture Sproles underwent surgery and missed 3 games.
Sep 9, 2007 NFL Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 Sproles didn't miss any games.
Aug 12, 2006 NFL Leg Fibula Fracture Sproles missed the entire 2006 season after undergoing surgery on August 14.
Nov 3, 2013 NFL Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 Sproles' 3rd reported concussion of his NFL career didn't cost him any games.
Oct 12, 2014 NFL Knee MCL Sprain Grade 2 Sproles sprained his MCL against the Giants and sat out 1 game.
Nov 20, 2016 NFL Chest Rib Fracture Sproles took a big hit on a punt return. He was able to play through the injury going forward.
Dec 11, 2016 NFL Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 Sproles took a vicious hit while fielding a punt. He missed Week 15.
Dec 5, 2010 NFL Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 Sproles took a helmet to helmet hit and was concussed. He avoided missing a game, though.
Nov 17, 2013 NFL Pedal Ankle Sprain/Pull Unspecified Grade 1 Sproles missed 1 game.
Sep 24, 2017 NFL Arm Forearm Fracture Also dealing with a torn ACL, Sproles was placed on IR.
Sep 24, 2017 NFL Knee ACL Tear Grade 3 Sproles took a tough hit that broke his wrist and tore his ACL on the same play. Season-ending surgery followed.
Sep 12, 2018 NFL Thigh Hamstring Strain Grade 2 Sproles missed 7 games with a hamstring injury suffered in practice. Upon returning to practice, he re-aggravated the injury on 11/7
Nov 7, 2018 NFL Thigh Hamstring Strain Grade 2 Sproles' re-aggravation cost him 3 games.
Oct 6, 2019 NFL Leg Quad Strain Sproles strained his quad Oct. 6 against the Jets. He missed 3 games
Nov 14, 2019 NFL Inguinal Hip Tear Sproles suffered a hip injury in practice ahead of Week 11 game. He missed the remainder of the 2019 season

In his best year (2011) he ran for 603 yards.
The NFL has not been kind to small players. And when the small chooses to it, he'd better like PAIN!
He'll feel plenty of it all over!

Wish this kid the best of luck!
