That name came from NFL films, when they saw many Dallas fans at every Dallas road game one season.

I would gladly trade that stupid nickname for a chance to be called the best team in football, ... the Super Bowl Champs.

I really don't care about losing the America's team label. I care about the boy's making a run next year. I have mega respect for the Steelers. IMO they are a very well-run franchise from the ownership, down to their scouting and coaches. A model franchise. That said, screw the steelers and lets go Cowboys.

Well, I think everyone in this forum agrees that Jerry is the constant with the way this franchise has gone downhill over the last 15 years.

Until Jerry steps aside and gets a real GM and a real coach, this franchise will go nowhere.

Our 3 best coaches were all run out town by Jerry. Our worst have been lameduck softies that Jerry controls. Hopefully Jerry will finally get the hint when this team underachieves again next season.

Also, the Cowboys, Dolphins and Bears are constantly going back and forth on best winning percentage every year. Dolphins are ahead right now at (.583), Bears at (.579) and Cowboys at (.578) not counting the tied games. The Bears have 42 tied games in their history, the Cowboys have 6 and the Dolphins have 4. The Cowboys held the record briefly last year, but ended the season at 9-7 along with the Bears, while the Dolphind finished 11-6 respectively.

Based on SB appearances and victories, playoff victories, winning percentage and our record of 20 consecutive winning seasons from 66'-84', I think the Cowboys can still proudly hold the label of "America's Team" and will only add to that legacy in the coming years with a vengeance IMO. I am as big a Cowboy fan as any of you, and have been for 35 years. That said, the Steelers are truly Americas Team. No drama, no reality shows, no huge egos to stroke, no hard knocks, no overpriced free agents, no public lockeroom spats, no control freak owner, no cupcake coach. Just a bunch of blue collar TEAMATES that work their tails off to reach a common goal. Hats off to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
