Jerry ONLY cares about his money
He uses his chips only when the NFL threatens his purse
He does not go against the league otherwise
Other owners like Mara and Kraft care more about winning and fight for the team

Get used to it
The owner of our favorite team is a snake oil salesman

This season is the wrong one to attempt a Don Quixote slaying of a windmill...

I'm going to break my "most" rule. But most people who pontificate on matters they don't understand fail to grasp that there may be issues at play that they fully don't understand because they're not insiders and aren't privy to the complexity of issues. We're all commenting based on the limited information we have. We don't have as much information as the league has about this issue nor as much information as Jerry Jones has.
So I'm just going to wait it out.
I support the NFL's drug policy, even if it hurts the team I support.

True...did you know that Gene Upshaw's real name was Eugene? That his nickname while playing in college, was Tuck. And when he kicked off for the Javelinas, the stadium would stand up and yell, 'Field Goal, Tuck!" I knew him as Eugene...

RGregory has no leg to stand on.....he has failed or missed over 6 tests judging by numbers of fines and suspensions

1st fail - enter the program
2nd fail - 2 game fine
3rd fail - 4 game fine
4th fail - 4 game suspension
5th fail - 10 game suspension
6th fail - year long ban at least

I agree. He put himself in this position. The same thing applies to Aldon Smith who was not let back into the league yet. The troubling part is that Bell has as well, but the league has not applied those standards to him. Somehow agreeing to some sort of settlement reduced his suspension in the past and for the future. It doesn't make any sense.

This is what I brought up in the other thread.

Goodell is showing leniency towards players that are smoking weed socially while partying yet shows no compassion towards Gregory who is most likely doing it in a dark room to cope his medical issues. It's sickening and it sickens me how the Jones family takes it on the chin without raising hell.

How about the Giants partying with we'd in twitter pics, and someone else clearing holding drugs begind his back? If those were Cowboys, the NFL would have the CIA, FBI, NSA, and SEAL team 6 on the case.

Now explain how Bell kept getting his suspensions reduced?

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...l-nflpa-010617?cmpid=feed:-sports-CQ-RSS-Feed

Your fine with the NFL taking it easy on Bell but putting it's boot on Gregory's neck?
Bell never failed a drug test....... he was arrested with weed during the old drug policy but punished under the new policy enacted in 2014...... the same one that vacated OScandrick's suspension.......Cowboys fans always forget that

Bell's second suspension reduction came from a missed test the day after he had knee surgery at 530am..... Bell said he couldn't drive because his knee.......it wasn't overturned but reduced to 3 games instead of 4, hardly a win

Gregory has failed or missed at least 6 tests...... if he has a good reason for the latest miss I haven't heard it and the arbitrator didn't buy it

Weed policy is pretty archaic though. Most of the problems weed has caused is because it's illegal. Like Prohibition, it's caused a more policed state, overpopulation of the prison system, and instead of the Mafia we got Cartels.

lol. Where was ole Jerry boys compassion for Tom Landry, or for that matter, anybody that stood in his way!! Jones is and will always be the worlds greatest snakeoil salesman. He " cares about his people and players" as far as it serves his personal business interests and no further that that. Ask Romo after June 1st. Your only kidding yourselves!!

Jerry Jones has numerous examples of helping his players both current and former. Leon Lett, Nate Newton, and Josh Brent are a few examples. He is a class act when it comes to helping those around him.
OK.HAHAHAHA...Your too funny!!(

From a bad looking NFL to a bashing thread of Jerry...you go you guys. Now that is hard core fan at it's highest point, and with the playoffs plainly in view. Get a life if those are your true feelings right now.

How? Is it not obvious that Bell received different sentencing for the same crime? Do you believe that Gregory's crime was more heinous in some way? Not trying to be argumentative, I just want your take on it. For the record, I am not pro marijuana, I tend to lean the same way you do. I just believe that if a year is good for our guy it should be good for everyone's.
Why are you not pro marijuana? Are you also not pro drinking or any other vice?

It simply stinks that these old stiffs running the NFL, Goodell is just a frontman, are determined to keep damaging the assets that make them wealthy. Its just plain stupid to ruin these young kids careers and lifes for absolutely no logical reason.
Gregory is ruining his own career, Theyre only helping him out. Unfair or not, stop using drugs and you wont be in this spot plain and simple.

That is the root, and not falling on the structure for a uniform standard or not...that Gregory at heart, loves the stuff and has a hell of a battle to overcome to be successful in the NFL. He hasn't owned up to declaring himself an addict, and won't recover, most likely.
