How bad are we going to be?

I think too many people are sleeping on the Texans. Yeah their record sucked last year but they bailed on Kubiak early and O'Brien did a pretty decent job with a Penn State program in disarray. There is still a lot of talent on that team on both sides of the ball.

I hope you are right on the HC and depth of the Texans roster. Would not mind them getting a wildcard berth this year.

Our defense is an embarrassment but our offense is pretty darn good so I think we will be in a lot of games. I'll go with 7-9 but if the offense sputters for whatever reason be prepared for much much worse.

10-6. I think we'll start off rusty on defense but, our offense will keep us in. Defense will be better than last year. I know, I know, it sounds crazy but, I don't see lightening striking twice for our D to be that bad. I don't think we'll be anywhere near top ten but, I expect a clean up in red zone defense and a bit on third downs. Those two things alone would give us a much better shot at winning close games. Add in the run attack and Callahan style offense (clock control), I think we'll be a lot better than what everyone is expecting. Which is exactly what we want. Underdog. Seahawks, Packers, Saints, Cowboys. The only one of those teams I think we've no chance of beating is the Seahawks.

I'm really interested on what happens when the Cowboys lose to a bad team....couple of years ago fans nearly revolted. Several dates on this schedule it could happen.

San Francisco 49ers
at Tennessee Titans
at St. Louis Rams

New Orleans Saints
Houston Texans
at Seattle Seahawks
New York Giants
Washington Commanders
Arizona Cardinals
vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
at New York Giants
Philadelphia Eagles
at Chicago Bears
at Philadelphia Eagles
Indianapolis Colts
at Washington Commanders

I don't think anyone of those 4 games are gimme games.

I think it's wide open. Could be 10 wins or 10 losses. Depends on the injuries and how they play together. Certainly can't base it on the pre season games.

I'd like to be able to go 8-8 just for the ridiculousness of going 8-8 four straight years. But I'm feeling 7-9, obviously assuming Romo plays at least 13-14 games.

I'll enjoy watching this team play until the day after Thanksgiving. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts this team doesn't win a game in December. This likely puts us at 7-9, 8-8 again.

That said Garrett probably sticks around one more year. If results hold in 2015 expect a complete razing of the franchise from coaches to players.

11-5

Had em' at 11-5 since about June, not switching now!

Maybe this is the yr the bottom falls out. Don't know. But I think they're more talented than people think!

I'm thinking we're going to see something along the lines of those Steve Paluer lead Cowboy days. I was a kid during those days and can't remember how long he started. I just remember them being terrible and everyone talking about how much they stunk...

This team is more likely to have the top pick in the draft than a winning record. It's going to be at the very bottom of the league. There's just very little talent on defense.

I don't consider myself a doom and gloom fan by any stretches, but I'll just say I don't think this is our year. I think it'll be a successful year if we are able to match our previous seasons of 8-8. It just smells like a six-win season to me.

I think we have a severe lack of playmaking ability on defense, thanks in part to injuries (Sean Lee, in particular), and are left being over reliant upon guys like Anthony Spencer and Morris Claiborne -- guys who likely won't stay healthy or perform at the level needed. I just fail to see how this defense comes through for us.

I do think we stand to have a very strong offensive team that will counter a good amount of the punches thrown our way, and a stout offensive line that should be the absolute backbone of the franchise come 2015.

I have to agree with this prediction.

Before I'd eat raw meat...I think that I would await at least a sear upon it. Some enjoy it right off the grill almost as it hits the grill. But that isn't the same as bringing it back up.
