TGIF Pops and friends. We made it! It's the best Friday in a long time because our prodigal son has come home! I'm gonna write a book "How Xelda got her Witten back". Yowza! It's good to be a Cowboys fan.

Leon, I've got a weed garden too. How much clover do you have in yours?
He'll stop jumping up and down when he realizes he doesn't have the money to pay the taxes on the new car.
Get out of my head! They open those doors and start showing crap I've got no use for and wouldn't know where to put it. Like H E double hockey sticks you're sending me to Bangkok. I'm also thinking they need to lower the value of those prizes for tax purposes. You're welcome for the reminder. I haven't heard the phrase "leap year baby" but I hear "test tube baby" a lot.
RGV, I am becoming very concerned about you and this Price is Right fetish. Daytime TV is only good for those in need of an ambulance chasing lawyer.
I haven't even begun to gripe about a certain lawyer's commercials. He must be 100 with hair plugs and botox. I've seen turtles with less wrinkling on their necks and when he smiles, all you see are his bottom teeth. Then there's the whiny voice telling us "You know what to do. One call, that's all." The TV isn't safe until after 5 pm.

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!!!!

Lol CC, lots of idle time when I’m at my moms. Not many tv channels to choose from. My favorite is the GRIT channel. Nothing but westerns on that channel, watching The Sons of Katy Elder now. Game shows, westerns, Mexican novelas are pretty much it. :muttley:

Evening Pops and everyone.

Finally made it home last night around 11:30PM. Travel stinks. My head just cannot get used to all the climate changes, etc. and I always end up with allergy issues, or like my last trip in '17 ended up with a sinus infection AND a double ear infection. At least this time it's just allergies.

Visit was okay overall. The grandkid's dad is trouble... I'm legitimately concerned about my daughter's and the grand's safety. I've let her know she needs to get hold of her attorney and inform him what's going on and perhaps get a restraining order and perhaps supervised visits between him and the kids. Dustin (the new guy that paid for the trip) is keeping a close eye on them for me. I like the guy all the more because of his protective ways... and he dotes on them like my guy (now passed) used to dote on me. Really made me miss having my guy around.

Anywaaay, it's still good to be home. I hope everyone had a great Friday. On to the weekend.

It’s a shame some guys won’t let go.

I can relate to allergies Gramma. It’s that time of year, itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing. Enjoy the weekend the best you can. I’ll bet your coworkers are anxious to have you back

I went in today to alleviate some additional stress on Monday. It is nice to be missed. Makes me feel like I'm an important part of the "team". We are a smaller office now after a "resizing", so to speak, so anytime anyone is gone for even a couple days the whole office feels the pinch. Sure didn't want to go back though...:(

I’ve been retired since January 2018. I miss my ex coworkers, not work tho. Your coworkers become almost like family. I still keep in touch with most. Every now and then I’ll get a call that job related. Like you said, It’s nice missed and needed.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Welcome to the Weekend! We've got colder weather and thunder showers coming for the weekend and freezing weather early next week. I checked on-line to see if there were any condos for sale in the Bahamas. It would be nice to spend the coldest parts of winter there.

Xelda, no clover in my flower beds, just big ugly weeds and a couple of plants that survived the neglect. I'm being prosecuted for attractive plant endangerment.

Gramma, I'm glad you made it home safely. I always hated the last couple of days of my vacations because I knew I would be going back to work. And I had a good job that I liked and co-workers that I loved, RGV, just stated exactly how I've always described my retirement of 15 years now. I have not once missed going to work, but miss the wonderful people I worked with.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Morning Pops and Zoner friends.

Early start to the day - I am sitting in a Starbucks having a "good morning" tea and watching snow clouds slowly roll into the area. With a foot or more of snow expected in our area, I am looking forward to a rather quiet time this weekend. Of course, there will be the inevitable snow-blowing. Nevertheless, life's good.

Have a great weekend!

Morning Pops and friends. Gramma, glad you made it back after what seems like a bittersweet visit and also glad your daughter and grandkids have Dustin in their lives and yours, sounds like just what is needed. I moved to allergy paradise about 3 years ago when I retired in South Central Texas, they hang out here year round and just another reason I have to keep reminding myself why I moved down here. And that's beginning to lose the balance on the decision scale.

Y'all have yourselves a fine weekend, ya heah?

Why is your "good morning" tea in "? You put something "special" in it? That "watching the snow clouds sllllooooowwwwlllly roll in to the area" is a dead giveaway.

Coming up on 3 years for me and I don't miss the work either but I do miss a couple of my employees that were like daughters to me. They held my hand through the roughest waters in my life and I really miss them.

What I do not miss is being "the boss". Spent the majority of my life in management and never really liked it. It was that career path we're supposed to be on and I got promoted because I was the top dog salesman and that's poor qualifications, that's like making your QB the head coach. I had to "watch myself" around employees because of my tendency for absurdity and sarcasm and I found myself not being me, I was this person that I was supposed to be. Too damned many "Eddie Haskell's" and too transparent about it and too many lazy people that didn't like me because I expected them to do their jobs and I discovered early on there is no motivating those that do not wish to be. Then I got to do the worst part of the job. Nope, do not miss that at all.

Afternoon Pops and friends. I've been cleaning today. That got old quick! I was afraid I'd sit down for some Cowboys Zone and not get up. Still much to do, but I'm on break. Everyone enjoy your Saturday and Gramma put something in your refrigerator. ;)

C'mon Coach! Just flip over to the Weather Channel for coverage of all the stuff we miss out on here in the Allegra Belt. We'll need pictures and recordings to help us through June, July, August and parts of September.

Xelda, just give up on the cleaning. Because if you really think about it, every time you clean one thing you make another thing dirty. It may just be a mop or a dust rag, but do they really deserve that kind of discrimination against them?
