Isn’t this a glorified QB sneak . I mean they dare you stop them . Goodfella should have more important things to worry about

actually you're the only freak that likes the eagles on here, and I can't use caps no more, (they don't want me to) you happy now??? lol
Weird that you would use that lazy attack on me since I've been here a lot longer than you and have never shown Eagles fandom ever, but whatever...
You do you on that one. See how far that gets you.

And you can't use caps no more?! I'm shocked.

Brady was just too darn good at throwing the football. He couldn't be stopped from winning more SBs than all franchises. We need to ban players like that in the future for "fairness".
stupid comparison. They used to have rules forbidding pushing the ball carrier forward.

It is a rugby play, and this isnt rugby. It needs to go.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I feel teams should be able to stop it. But if someone gets hurt doing it then it should be banned.
This seems like a silly way of looking at it. Players get hurt all the time through normal play. I don't recall anyone being hurt on the Tush Push. I do see players get hurt all the time though making other plays, including non-contact injuries. Are we going to ban quick-cutting routes because WR's pop a hammy or tear an ACL making cuts when their cleats get stuck in the ground?

There is no current rule that states only Philly can use this play. All teams may use it, and they try. But they don't have the right mix of talent to be as consistent as Philly is. This is why it does not need to be banned and would set a very dangerous precedent for the NFL.
Assisting the ball carrier by pushing him is happening more and more in the NFL and collegiate level. It’s not just in short yardage or goal line instances. And it is making football different. The rule should be reverted back to what it was pre-2006.

I don't see it making much of a difference with them. I wonder what ramifications that would have on running backs, tight ends that get pushed forward after they are stopped. I would imagine it would affect them more than a quarterback sneak.

Actually I didn’t get to finish my post. I did not get to go back and edit it yet.

it is a new style of play and no one has been getting hurt from it. So why ban it. The hip drop tackle actually hurts people. And it is still allowed.

When Bob Hayes set new standards in the pass game, it was not banned, defenses needed to adapt.
Imagine the uproar on the forums back when the forward pass was invented..
