Ouch....insult to injury.

Idgit had him on the ropes....Hositle comes in with a Mickey Ward body shot and Dc goes down...

I understand the frustration on the part of those that agree with what Miamicowboy said, but that doesn't make it "truth". It makes it a "reaction"....a very obvious one at that.

 I had no idea we had to draft a pro-bowler with every draft pick...

He brought a fly swatter to a gunfight and expected me to turn tail and run.

Every DE we draft has to be at least Marcus Spears. Forget the fact that for 2 years we've had fans calling for Hatcher to replace Spears, now Hatcher is questionable depth.

The whole tack of that argument is laughable at best.

I was going to say something funny about how long hostile's posts are but it's not coming together.

stupid coffee not working for me.

Than you should stop writing with it;)

Try not to spit coffee. I edited it down a lot.

That was wasn't "truth", that was a profanity-laced tantrum.

The 2006 draft wasn't very good. Wow, really? Great insight there.

Two points I would make as I'm not about to get into the debate over what constitutes a 'good draft' over a 'bad draft' because it seems obvious that it's too reliant on personal opinion.

But I would say that Hos your posts were very good and showed great points in support of your case.

But your listing of offensive depth clearly illustrated this team's struggles in drafting offensive linemen.

Our current line consists of 2 draft picks nearing then end and 3 highly-paid free agents - all 5 of whom make big money. Due to draft failings, this team pays a high price for its' offensive line. That needs to change.

And secondly, I disagree with your contention that a player who would be 'still on an NFL team' is a success.

If a Cowboys draft pick doesn't help the Cowboys, then it's a failure, whether he goes on to help the Lions or whoever. The point of drafting a player is to improve your team, not the NFL. If that player fails to do that, it's a failure.

But in all honesty, I can see both sides to this argument and my opinion probably comes down somewhere in the middle.

So I'm 'Switzerland' here.

Agreed with needing a rating on the content of the audio. I just pulled it off of another site for language content.
Vid removed..

Next time maybe DC could filter the words out. He's done it before on other vids.

I might just have to do a little research and really shoot holes in this crap. No time right now though.

I had a quick look at the Ravens 2006 and 2007 drafts as they were one of the teams quoted. I didn't have the time to do any more. All quoted positions are from the Ravens Depth chart on their website. Any mistakes will be my bad eyesight. ;)

2007 - Baltimore Ravens
Rd Sel # Player Position School
1 29 Ben Grubbs G Auburn - starting LG
3 74 Yamon Figurs WR Kansas State - 4th team LWR
3 86 Marshal Yanda T Iowa - 2nd team RG
4 134 Antwan Barnes LB Florida International - 2nd team LOLB
4 137 Le'Ron McClain FB Alabama - starting FB
5 174 Troy Smith QB Ohio State 2nd team QB
6 207 Prescott Burgess LB Michigan - 3rd team LOLB
Jared Gaither T Maryland - starting LT

2006 - Baltimore Ravens
Rd Sel # Player Position School
1 12 Haloti Ngata DT Oregon - starting DT
2 56 Chris Chester C Oklahoma - not on the team
3 87 David Pittman DB Northwestern State-Louisiana - not on the team
4 111 Demetrius Williams WR Oregon - 2nd team RWR
4 132 P.J. Daniels RB Georgia Tech - not on the team
5 146 Dawan Landry SS Georgia Tech - starting SS
5 166 Quinn Sypniewski TE Colorado - not on the team
6 203 Sam Koch P Nebraska - starting punter
6 208 Derrick Martin CB Wyoming - 3rd team SS
7 219 Ryan LaCasse LB Syracuse - not on the team

5 busts eh?

All this is about is "the grass is greener on the other yard" and "I WANT STEAK AT EVERY POSITION AND THE DALLAS COWBOYS OWE ME"

Boring and not worth debating anymore.

Sometimes I wish these guys would cross over to the other side to cut that greener grass. And don't come back just because the weeds and crabgrass are more visible up close.

That is why sometimes i love the down years, just get rid of the bandwagons, the "I can draft" better nit pickers and just stick to good wholesome fans. maybe a little on the optimistic side, but when life is bad, its good to have something to dream upon.

Pointing out a team's mistakes dosen't make you any lesser of a fan.

That's just it.

For some people it does.

What team hasnt made mistakes? WHo has had the perfect draft? Who can win SB's every year? I would have pit this team against any team last year but injuries hit us hard. Is that Jerry Jones fault? Should he have foreseen the injuries and canceled the season or not draft Felix because he got injuried? What was the problem with last years draft? I think we did good.

I love our TE and RB problems. I love our free agents. I think this team has a good a chance as any other team and all factors combined, but I think we have a bit more talent than over 50 percent of the teams.

Belaboring failures in a process that's got a high failure rate across the league doesn't make someone a lesser fan. But it can make them a liability on a fan message board.

...and you have that right, as do those of us that think what you did on dcf's radio show was innaccurate, redundant, whiny, and boring.

It's all just a matter of opinion...

Very accurate.

We've all got our opinions.

The place would be pretty boring if we didn't.
